Not Bowers. Roberts. Meo Costanza and I almost came to internet blows over the stupidity of that one.

Benock should be an 8th man on a SEC team. If such exists in basketball. Bryant isn't any better either, and may be worse.

on an inbounds pass as well. That's typical Stans ball though. He has no clue how to break the press with guards.

I think Kodi had 3 turnovers against it in the final few minutes. We probably shot 10 3s in the last 10 minutes. Our bigs are soft.

never does anything right...but goddamn, and I've said this a thousand times since 2003:

When the game is on the line and he has to make a decision to affect the outcome of the game- it's obvious what a ****** coach he is.

It's ridiculous

the point is Kodi shouldn't be bringing the ball up in that situation. Kodi was walking it up and they had a man tight on Riley and Riley acted like he was going to cut back towards Kodi then started back up the court, but Kodi threw the ball as if Riley was coming back to him, and thus the ball went right to Vandy's bench. Miscommuni17ingcation. Buryball

in the middle of a fast break opportunity. I guess Rick is so impressed with his half court game he wanted to get us settled down. Not that it makes me agree with the decision anymore, but I believe we subsequently turned it over.

that was awful...it was an obvious fast break from the start, and we call time-out

the 3 point line with nobody guarding him. IF he simply moves to the basket there is a slam dunk. He stood there like a retard.

I'm sorry stans fans or the group that says we cant do better than stans. You are wrong.

This train wreck needs to end now.

Are you guys so dumb that you couldn't see Dee being double-teamed and being denied the ball? At some point someone else is going to have to bring the ball up the court, that's what Bryant is supposed to be here for, b/c he sure can't do anything else

Where do I begin...
It's just not even fun anymore to make fun of Stans lack of coaching. Once again we have a lead late in the second half and Stan let's it slip away before calling a Timeout. Dee needs the ball in his hands at all time, he does not need to come out of the game, if he gets tired call a timeout. How many times will we shoot a three pointer with a 1 on 3 or 4? Why do we not crash the boards on offense or defense? Horrible, just a horrible job last night by our coaching staff.

Rick recruits too many athletes who think they're basketball players. There is a difference. (Just) Athletes will make some outstanding plays, but they offset those plays with numerous bad, baskteball decisions (which usually don't show up in the box score) that keep their team from performing well as a unit.

An unwillingness to LEARN the game is a fault ofthe players. The decision to recruit players that don't have high basketball IQ is Rick's.

against that press when the long pass was made to our bench side Ravern is standing on the opposite side of the floor.....just standing there. A quick break to the basket and it is a slam dunk. But he just stood there. I saw it happen two times during the last few minutes.

was that there was 1:15 left in the half- we pretty much guaranteed to get the ball back again so that he could still use that time-out

half hearted moved toward the inbounds passergivingno choice but to throw it in to Bryant. Dee then makes a half circleback toward the top of the key and seems to signal to the ball handler to pass the ball across towards Benock. The rest is history. Watch the replay.Dee should have gotten the basketball withoutdoubt and there should be noone able to guard Dee man to man and keep him from getting the ball. Was it by design? If it was then Stans should quit now. Do not get me wrong...Dee Bost is the best PG in the SEC but that 4-5 seconds was his worse effort of the game. He had two opportunities to run to the ball and didn't. If nothing else he should have bolted toward Bryant and taken a dang hand-off. I thought the timeout when we had an obvious fast break advantage was awful and that was definitely our coach who made that decision. I also thought Vandy hurt us badly on their offensive boards a few times late; we did not block out anyone, givingour opponent easy put backs. This is not adefense of Stans...mainly just an observation of that last 23 seconds.

good coaches set up some screens to make sure their best ball-handler gets the ball- We didnt.

There is no excuse for what happened. We had a time-out to get something set and we couldnt even get the ball to halfcourt before turning it over.

We simply arent coached worth a ****

"and sit during the game. If you're not moving, then you're not playing. Soooo, you might as well be sitting up in the stands with your mama." -- This is what I repeatedly tell my players in every sportI coach.

Breaking a press requires little more than movement toward open spots on the floor (in addition to some screen setting) by the players without the ball. Like the press is an extension of the defense, breaking a press should be coached as an extension of the offense. Of course, MSU's offense, of course, usually one guywith the ball andthe other four moving very little or standing flat-footed.... watching the guy with the ball.

If ball distribution is equal, then at a maximum, you're only going to have the ball in your hands 10% of the game. What are you going to do the other 90% of the game?

I alsotold my teams: "Fans cheer for the players, not for the watchers.."

Some of MSU's players are watchers... and need to be sitting.

so it makes more sense. That's Rick being stubborn. He refuses to realize that our best chance to get good looks is to push, push, push.

Not to mention, we had all 5 guys standing in the 3 point arch and the ball was at half court when Vandy called a TO.
