WR's in this class......I'll pose the question yet again. With the limited number of slots that we have left and with seamingly other, more pressing needs why are we taking another WR? Michael Carr must not be returning is all I can think of?

We have room and a definite need for guys who can step in right away. Hopefully we can get one or two of them in early to participate in spring practice. I'd love to see us fill some other needs, but WR is a huge need for us.

We lose one JUCO WR commit from Scott and we gain two from Chapelle and Smith. Most of the HS WR will redshirt but maybe one will come game ready. We've lost Fosselman in the system, so Carr would be a welcomed return. With the 25 signing limit it really hurts the program for players to leave.

The pressing needs this year are DBs and WRs. Now to wait on filling the last DBs slots.

Where's the talk of Carr returning originating from? Has anyone ever quit & successfully returned for us?

There was talk of Dennis Thames doing the same all last year.

Apparently he left school to go home for family stuff but wants to go back to school. Here specifically. I guess the speculation is he'd rejoin the team.

Dennis Thames moved to RB. Not sure we'd have much use for him, but he should be given the opportunity to try out. If he got kicked off for drugs, went to JUCO and proved himself worthy and got of the stuff, that's deserving of a 2nd chance.

What more pressing needs do we have than the WR position? We've got more slots in our class still available than most of the rest of the SEC - really almost everyone other than Ole Miss. We've got quite a few guys that were borderline commits to begin with that have bad knee injuries and could easily be asked to greyshirt or be helped to find another offer - like we did with Scott.

One thing I can guarantee - we're not going to run out of room for 4 and 5* talents still wanting to come on board...

Graduation will decimate us @ WR...

..don't we have 4 sr. WR's leaving? Include Bumphis in that group, who is the one we will actually miss. Recruiting so many WR's is all about the math.

Let me clarify......We have needs at WR no doubt but with the number of guys

we've already got committed why are we taking TWO more WR's? I can see possibly one but TWO?

1. Scott decommitted and committed to UAB, so it's basically only adding 1. 2. I think Mullen and Brewster are thinking they might actually want to redshirt some of the freshies.

Both of these guys are JUCOs... We also helped place DeVante Scott yesterday, who was previously committed to us. So, we are now taking two juco receivers, or only one more than we had previously.

We need immediate help at the position. Just because we are taking a bunch of highschool guys that we hope will be deep threats, we can't expect them all to step into an immediate role on the team.

We have no more pressing needs than immediate JUCO help at receiver - and longterm help as deep threats. We've now addressed both needs. Ideally, we could have gotten a guy that could do both, but we missed on Rumph and Leslie, the two(most) legit deep threats in all of JUCO.
