Remember Operation Pretense?

all those county supervisors that went down in the FBI sting? That's how we wound up on top.

Dry counties would be a big contributor, without a doubt. I also think you'd be surprised at the number of lower middle class people who, due to their religious beliefs, do not touch the stuff at all.

Also, take break, New Hampshire. Who drinks more than Vegas? What's going on up there?

I was disappointed, but not surprised, we didn't finish higher in alcohol consumption.

I think it's the dry counties holding us back.

I bet the Dakotas go even higher with the oil boom. There are a bunch of very lonely men up there with pockets full of cash. Bars are popping up everywhere as well as strip clubs.

We did not outdo Illinois.

This ranking is based on convictions of federal corruption laws. That's a good objective thing to look at, but it doesn't tell what kind of corruption there is that doesn't violate federal law. Illinois would outdo MS just with its school system.

But if you look at the most corrupt and least corrupt states they identified, it looks like a pretty good ballpark shortcut.

I think media polls just pin mississippi to the top of any ****** poll just because they can... Why **** on another state when you can keep piling **** on mississippi?

There is no way we outdo Illinois, Texas, or Louisiana.

When they finally bring down the Hinds County & Madison County Boards of Supervisors (like they should and eventually will), we will be untouchable in the rankings.

Why wouldn`t the state with the most convictions of corrupt politicians be the LEAST corrupt state ?
