They need us to host. These last couple of years have been hard on college baseball.
It's better when we host and everybody knows it.

It’s better for us but it’s a reach to say it’s better for college baseball. I don’t think most of the sport cares what we do.
We can interview La Tech's coach while he's in Starkville. Hosting a regional would be pretty awesome.
I think they project Arkansas to finish 3-3 and A&M to win the West.
Kentucky at No. 1 overall is wild. Not undeserved, as they lead the SEC and are now No. 1 in the RPI. But just jarring to see.
Is it written in stone somewhere that Samford always has to be in whatever regional with us? Not worried about them but mix it up a bit fellas...

I would like this better than the one I saw with Dallas Baptist as the 2 seed. I didn't feel good about that one at all.
Samford, South Alabama, or Florida State. It is not an MSU Regional without one of those three involved.
Of the top 25 on campus college baseball attendance records, WE OWN 22 OF THEM.

It seems a little strange to me how quiet the board has been about what our former assistant has put together consistently at a baseball backwater.
And what would Kentucky be without the Mississippi State baseball coaching pipeline??
Well, baseball teams still ride buses a lot. There's a reason they call them regionals.
That’s what I said as soon as I saw the 4 billion dollar NCAA lawsuit.
Our national championship series had fewer TV viewers than the 2022 or 2023 CWS finals did.
Mississippi State baseball is a huge deal to Mississippi State fans. But nobody else.
We own 24* of the top 25. Three of those happened last year, including the game currently in the #1 spot - 16,423.
And I never realized that of those 24, only 4 of them occurred during a Super Regional. So 20 of them were regular season games.
I’m not saying we fudged the numbers necessarily but NCAAT games have NCAA people counting attendance, regular season games have MSU people counting.
Also the fact that we have big home series every year no matter how good the team is but we don’t host every single year. In fact we didn’t host very often in the 90’s and 2000’s.
Are you still living in the 1990s? That all went out the window over 20 years ago. The NCAA does not care about attendance. It's a drop in the bucket to them. And TV ratings will be pretty bad no matter who they show (heck, if anything ratings for our games should go up very slightly if we're on the road).
Oh, you guys just don't get it. Why do you hate on the Dude experience so much? It's magic.
