I had pretty much forgotten about the former All-State Rockbridge guard until I was watching the Maui Invitational this evening, and Marquette was playing LSU in the 3rd place game.

He's having a great start to his senior redshirt season - believed he scored 30 points tonight - and still deadly from the free throw line.

Anyone else been keeping up with him the past few years?

I did see where he was the 6th man of the year in the Big East last season.

Their games are often on TV and he plays a lot. Also tonight, I saw Justin Kier in action for George Mason and I saw a clip of Darius Thompson, the UVa transfer who is now at Western Kentucky. Lots of familiar faces on the tube tonight!

Rowsey leads the Big East in scoring. Almost 25 a game. Darius George had his best game of the young season for Marshall. 5 points, 8 rebounds, 2 steals in 21 minutes off the bench.

Interesting side bit here. From the book Staunton Streak. "When Jarrett Hatcher went to Bridgewater, he remembers several people telling him how good of a player his dad was....Judy Hatcher compared Paul to Andrew Rowsey." I remember when I was at Lee hearing about how Hatcher would light it up from downtown for the players sometimes after practice.
