It is hard for me to fully comprehend the absolute stupidity of this post. This wasn't some random public figure, Andy was a Rutgers football captain and multi-sport athlete who I'm sure was even more proud of his career after Rutgers. e5fdny has it right, Andy was a real Rutgers man we can all be proud of. Lost a similiar teammate yesterday myself.
Kevin Hardy was an AA DT in 1966 and a # 1 Draft Choice. He was 6th Man on an NCAA Tournament Hoop Team and he hit .398 for the baseball team.
But even more important he was a great friend and teammate to all who knew him .

That might be true. But he was a captain on the Rutgers football team, a multi-sport athlete and he dedicated his life to helping others, so it would seem worth mentioning.
Also, it’s ok sometimes to apologize for a stupid post after you realize you missed the mark. (I have definitely done that.)
Just because YOU never heard of him doesn't mean it isn't worth mentioning.

His uncle Al (aka Boomy/Boomie) was a standout QB for RU. This 1950 Topps felt back card is one of the earliest football cards a Rutgers player has ever appeared on.
