You really hit the nail on the head when it comes to what's wrong with this athletic department right now. Tom didn't care about hiring the best available. He cared about trying to find the guy who REALLY WANTED to be at Nebraska. He did an awful job as an AD.
Same ole BS from him...how many times do we have to hear out of his mouth he didn't do his job or have the team ready to play? The best part is him saying "we are going to find out who this team is...and I love it." No Erstdud...we would love it if we were at the very least a team vying for an at large bid. Not a team once again trying to stop the bleeding which is a norm for an Erstdud team. We have 5 years as evidence of what time of program you have developed.

The truth is many loved the erstad hire when it happened. Maybe not everyone but we had hope. I think this season might be the end of the experiment.
Careful. You dare not question Tim Miles on here. I have questioned his tenure here many times only to be told what an ignorant troll I am. Time for Erstad and Miles to get it done or be fired. Period. The facilities and fan support are too good for this kind of mediocrity to continue.
At least we can say we have new facilities. That game only lasts so long before the facilities are outdated and NU needs to spend big $$ for both facilities upgrades and new coaching staffs... Eichorst just needs more time to grow a pair.
I really don't think it's about Eichorst "growing a pair." three years ago, people were talking about locking Miles up to a huge contract because he took us to the tourney in his second season. Since then, he's brought in more talent than the program has seen since the Danny Nee heydays. Eichhorst is giving Miles just enough rope to hang himself. If the offseason continues to go off the rails and we have another bad season this fall/winter I think Miles will be gone.
Well a win today was important, given that Nicholls State's RPI is 218. That's not a number you want hanging next to a home series loss.
