Court records show Lucas, 19, was herself facing charges of obstructing of justice and accessory after the fact in connection with a June shooting in which a 16-year-old was killed. A 17-year-old is charged with murder in that case.
Wilson police say LaDarrius Simmons was found dead just after midnight on June 25 inside a home on Spruce Street. An online fundraiser for Simmons' family says he was student at Wilson Preparatory Academy.
Woodard said Monday's shooting appeared to have been in retaliation for Simmons' death. Lucas, he said, "is related to the shooter," in that case. Because the suspect in Simmons' death is 17, that person's name is not public.
It's not clear what connection Mustafa has to that case, but Woodard said Monday's shooting appeared to have retaliation for that crime.

He shouldn’t have been there. All of a sudden Republicans liked armed thugs wearing masks on our streets. People like you, and realizing how messed up you are is why I left the Republican Party. They stand for nothing I believe in.
I really think that conservatives get so out of sorts about the actions of liberals because it reminds them how they are too impotent to take action themselves.

2. I doubt that there is a courthouse in America that does not have armed guards and metal detectors in place. Inside the courthouse. This woman was shot when she stepped out onto a public street outside the courthouse. In pretty much every state in this country, people are allowed to carry guns, and in most of them they can conceal carry. This perp is clearly mentally imbalanced, and valued revenge above his own personal safety or welfare. How are you gonna stop someone like that?
