The State Level

- Loge: $10,000 (four seats), $15,000 (six seats), $20,000 (eight seats) Bulldog Club Obligation (Only sold in sets of four, six, or eight) (Ticket price not included)

Is this a per season price for these seats? Or is it an over a few years thing? Just curious.

Per season. You'll pretty much be paying $2,500 per seat, per year, plus ticket cost.

Yeah, I read it to mean per season. That's a little stout for end zone seats in my opinion but people will pay it. I'm just excited about more elevators on the west side, those ramps are a buzz killer!

I think that Stricklin got most things right with the North endzone expansion, but I just don't get the Loge seats. Paying that much per seat for an endzone skybox is one thing because they're great for entertaining purposes. But $2500 a pop for an endzone seat because it has a little tv monitor and table? I don't care if they are front row. It's still the freakin' end zone. Sorry, I think they're insane if they think people are going to pay that. You can get 50 yard line club seats on the East side for a good bit less than that.

Scott may very well prove me to be dead wrong, but I just don't see those selling out.

When they opened up more club level seating b/c they gave people the choice of choosing an "inside" club level seat with the bar stools - people had to commit to $12,500 donation over 5 years/seat. Plus, the cost of the club level Bulldog Club donation so for 5 years - you were paying $3750/seat.

And they had a waiting list still. So people will pay.

I'm afraid that last is incorrect. The waiting list, if there was one (and I think there probably was at some point), evaporated. I speak from personal experience in the fall of 2011.
Currently, CL seats cost $1,500 each per season. Any new ones picked up now, not just behind the glass, carry that $12.5 commitment you mentioned as well.

I think the short story is that they're right on the cusp of pricing a lot of people out, and I'm very interested to see how the demand for the loge seating goes.

I hear ya, but I still feel like there's an enormous difference in viewing angle between any of the East side club seats and these new Loge seats. A waiting list for a prime seat location or skybox is one thing, but I think that there will most likely be many of those people that would rather stay on that waiting list than pay that kind of money for end zone seats. It's not really as much about the money, itself, to me as it is they're pretty ****** seats at the end of the day.

Again, Scott's done the research and he may very well prove me wrong, but I'll be surprised if they sell out.

Oh they will sell for 1 reason

People care about status. East side club level is ok but nothing spectacular. For some reason, people really get off on feeling like they are in an upper class. Dont give me wrong, it aint bad, but it isnt some glorious gameday experience either.

view from Loge seating

If it is anything like the Endzone Club at Vaught Hemingway, the view will be much, much better than what you generally associate with endzone seating...

Well to me the higher up in the end zone you get the better the view so if I did get a seat in the expansion area I would definitely want the loge seating. Low in the endzone IMO are the absolute WORST seats in the house as far as being able to tell what's actually going on on the field. That's where I got stuck for the Music City Bowl and I had to spend most of my time watching the video board to really tell what was going on except when the action was down on the goal line where I was. I personally would have zero interest in the Gridiron area they are setting up other than to socialize.

That is absolute insanity...

All I can say is we better keep winning or we are going to have a lot of empty spaces in places. Can't imagine people filling up and paying that kind of money for these different seating areas if we were to go back to the type teams we had 2001-2008.

I sit q row 15 and 16. I sat Club earlier with a friend and hated it. It was to stale and far away from the field.

The fatal flaw in your logic is that the people who pay for the sky boxes, etc. give a flying 17 about what's happening down on the striped grass. Most of them are there for the social networking aspect of it, and the game is secondary.

I have a friend with a sky box at DNF, and I have watched several games from there. Watching the game from behind glass just defeats the whole purpose of going to the ballpark for me. Unless its unbearably hot, I usually go out and sit in the outside seats.

$1500 per seat. Wouldn't be surprised to see it go up next year, or at least the year after that. Used to be $1250 as I recall.

How many elevators does the west side have now? And how many will it have?

The east side has two locations of two elevators each that service Club, both Suite levels, and the Skydeck. It's almost impossible to get one going down after the game is over. Going up usually isn't much of a problem if you get there somewhat early. I wish they could add escalators.

I suppose it depends on the person. I sit in Club and love it. The view is good (except afternoon games when the sun is in your face) and the seats are reasonably comfortable ... much better than a bleacher seat. And it's nice to be able to go in and cool off/warm up.

I don't think I'd like end zone seats at all, but many stadiums have end zone premium seating. Unless I'm mistaken, that's the only place the Bears have such seats. At the Music City, I had a Club Level but it was almost in the end zone ... pretty much in the corner. I couldn't really see the game that well.

That would mean the list was pretty short. That wasn't that many seats comparatively (maybe 50?) and I know they weren't all sold for 2010. My guess is there was a longer list and the new charge introduced at the same time helped eliminate it completely. Only a BC rep would know for sure.

Suites are fun if you are in one that likes to raise hell.

In 2002, I sat in the Telesouth suite. Lasted a quarter. We went back to our regular seats amongst the common folk.
