He thinks that for the same reason most others think that probably.....it makes dealing with climate change easy. Why change, why do anything? "Just ticks on a dog's back".....no need for us to stop making our money, consuming, and polluting.

Related to raw data vs. massaged data, and part of the model input. Study finds massaged data accounts for most of supposed temperature increases (and it's still not enough to make their models accurate within standard error).

Large public works projects creating train systems stretching across the nation propelled by magnetic energy, wave energy technology, recycling initiatives in every town and city, shutting down fast food and requiring strict purchasing processes for restaurants, enormous amounts of seed money for local farmers and ranchers, strict purchasing processes for groceries (focused on local and sustainable foods), redirection of government funds for conservation and r&d for environmentally friendly processes and technology, forced community conservation service for every citizen, billions spent each year in foreign aid to help direct other nations towards the same endeavors, more protected lands, more protected animals, government mandated hug time for everyone, everyone wears smiley face t-shirts, legalize weed, force prisoners to sift through landfills and trash for recycling, help all nations implement birth control, force all men to wear panties at least for one day, outlaw Ann coulter and Rachel Maddow from speaking publically......
  • sustainable foods: I laugh every time I see this.....This bullsh*t is a marketing ploy aimed at gullible idiots that don't have a clue about food production and reality.
  • recycling initiatives in every town and city: What world have you been living in? We already have these initiatives in every town and city.
  • shutting down fast food: You meant this as a joke?
  • requiring strict purchasing processes for restaurants: Restaurants have had purchasing processes for years.
  • strict purchasing processes for groceries : After working in the grocery and food service industry for over 40 years, I can assure you we looked at every opportunity to increase sales by using new marketing ploys that targeted uninformed lack of common sense people. Frauds like organic, local, green and sustainable worked very well.

Profit is the greatest motivator. All businesses try to lose money, Liberals are such fools. The only business that can regularly lose large amounts of money is government cause nobody loses their job because they run out of money.

Look, solutions will vary widely....and I'm not an expert or even of the mindset that extreme measures should be implemented......but we need to take it seriously and stop trying to conspiracy it away. Paris Accord might not have made sense for many in the nation....fine....but let's find something that does announce our commitment to the world. Let's get together on the science that is, and not allow false representation of facts and serious work to distort the reality. Let's talk about solutions, and not act like people that seek solutions are crazies.
Boom...just curious......Were you unable to afford the plane fare to Hamburg?

Organic and sustainable foods are a scam?
Nothing wrong with wanting foods that are not drenched with chemicals and pesticides, that's just using common sense. However many of the organic claims are frauds. I love to visit "local" so called farmers markets because I love to expose many for the frauds they are. When I ask them to produce certification for their "organic" claims.....99% can't. Same with some of the "local" claims crap. I recently watched one corn vendor who claimed she was selling "local" corn open up crates marked with "Product of Georgia",the same ones I later saw a clerk at a chain grocery store stocking corn from. I guess some of the more gullible types actually thought Georgia was local and that corn in our area produced ears from stalks two feet high.
I'll let you define "sustainable" as you believe it. Common sense tells us if you catch all the tuna in the oceans...we will run out. Tell me how you tell "sustainable" produce from other produce.
Just a heads up....."Non-GMO" sourced is the most recent marketing ploy......since 99.9% of genetic scientists tell us there are zero issues with GMO products.

To me, sustainability is all about supply OVER demand. Having true measurements in place that prevents the over consumption of a source, and practices that aim to replenish supply just as fiercely as it is sold at market. Much like logging in the 19th century, we can help sustainability through practice. Farm raised fish have their own issues, but there are other ways to ensure that populations are not over fished or over hunted.

Believing lies is dumb.
That's great Dave, took that first step, now all you have to do is begin reading actual science conducted in the field, try some scholarly journal articles (yes I know there's no pictures, but they have good info in there), unclench your buttocks, turn off FOX, and find a hug from someone......and you'll be close to understanding truth.

It's funny that you didn't pick up on the sarcasm in that post....I don't know you Dave....you could've written articles that I've read for all I know. Just not on climate change, I'm betting.

And I believe in multiple intelligence theory.

That's how I would define it. But when many of the food retailers are telling us is they only source sustainable products.....its really mean nothing. And speaking of farm raised.....shrimp is only now sustainable because the majority are farm raised.

And hold up.....is there something wrong about being a teacher? Should I feel inadequate Dave? Am I hiding in academia cause I can't hack it with the brains like you?

I believe in what I do.

Oh so like waterboy or alter boy, right? Not insinuating anything there right? Men do those jobs too?
You are trying to find a reason to be upset. Teacherboy sounded better than teacherman. They both seemed nicer than male youth instructor.

dave drops cones and leans on shovels for a living. The only articles dave has ever written are how to be a fat, lazy slob and pretend to be an engineer on a message board to make himself feel more important....and he doesn't believe scientists work for NASA.

Poor guy. So jealous of someone being an engineer. How fuking sad is your life when it upsets you that someone is an engineer? If you want to be an engineer be an engineer. Being a hater just makes you seem sad.
