Another reason NCAA is plain idiotic sometimes...

Shouldn't he have housing at Fullerton JUCO through the end of the school year? Wouldn't that be a part of his scholarship there? Also, the article says he's been living with his girlfriend's parents, then says he got kicked out of his uncle's house by government regulations. There's more to this story than we're being told. That said, the NCAA should give a waiver to let Boise put him up in a dorm and provide 3 meals a day immediately.

"When the NCAA barred Boise State from assisting homeless student-athlete Antoine Turner, fans of the Broncos' first opponent, the Ole Miss Bulldogs, took matters into their own hands."

And another one. I don't recall Manziel ever signing an affidavit for all the games he showed up at with great seats.

Fullerton doesn't have residence halls.

For what it's worth, Mississippi's junior and community colleges are very atypical when compared to community colleges throughout the nation because many Mississippi juco campuses have residence halls.

For some forms of federal housing assistance, you aren't allowed to have extended houseguests. I'm not really sure what the regulation is aimed at, I guess to keep the recipients from loading four families into a house and increasing opposition to things like Section VIII vouchers or making gov't subsidized projects 'not nice'.

I can understand that. But the article says he was living with his GIRLFRIEND and then got kicked out of his UNCLE'S house. There's something the article is leaving out here.

It refers to his "newly forged living arrangement" indicating he moved in with his uncle after living with his girlfriend's parents. You're right though it doesn't explain why moving back in with his girlfriend's parents is not an option. I had assumed he was already in Boise and that his girlfriend's parents lived back in California, but that doesn't really explain it either.

Sheesh the boy should have signed with an SEC school.....

He would be set already. I would have thought Boise was savvier than this.
