For me personally I want him to redshirt this year and let Mackey and Stoudt handle the QB duties this year. I along with many other Rebels are confident in Mackey's abilities at QB. so there is your OM perspective on the matter.

Snead while not Eli by anymeans did lead us to back to back 9 wins seasons and Masoli did lead the offense to aveage 30 points a game. it is just to bad our defense gave up 35 points a game.

or we could win 6 or 7games which is why I have season tickets because they play the games. They still play the games to see who wins right?

You sound like one of the douches off the Spirit who only responds with middle-school style insults instead of having a sports discussion.

1. Coaching
2.You only won 4 games last year and your team is not any better.
3.Your schedule is tougher.

Ole Miss is a new coach and two years away from being good.

I will just get rid of my tickets then since you have said we will suck. There is no need in my going to the games now since I can just ask you how they will come out.

sure, it might stop you from speaking coherently but it doesn't stop you from learning. One of my best friends stutters. I don't make fun of him because he is not the Ole Miss quarterback. He does very well for himself.

Start to experience a bit of suck, and everybody stops attending the games.

I know it was UAB, but it was homecoming, and I believe the attendance was a little over 34,000. That's pitiful. Mississippi fans don't show up a lot of the time. Remember Northwestern State? Wasn't that the year they won 9 games? Like 25,000 were there? I might be wrong, but I know on numerous occasions when Mississippi had a descent team they could barely get their stadium over half capacity.

It was pitiful, in fact the most pitiful home attendance I've seen with the exception of 2001 Troy State (which was credited with 26K people). And if you believe there was actually 32,310 people in the stadium that day, then you might actually believe there were also 36,000 people in the stadium two weeks ago.

HOWEVER, in the interests of context, MSU was 1-4 at the time, coming off not only three years of Sherill Implosion, but previous three weeks included the Maine Debacle, a 51-0 waxing at LSU, and a dismal 31-13 loss at Vanderbilt. On top of that, there was a 100% chance of rain, and it did so that morning before the game, and during as well. I actually went that morning to what was then the new Academy Sports on County Line and bought a pair of duck boots for the sole purpose of wearing them to that game, because I was not going to have soaked feet again like I did at the 2003 Egg Bowl.

So yeah, attendance sucked, but like the Troy State game, the weather was miserable, and everybody knew it was going to be miserable, so nobody showed up. At least there wasn't a tornado warning.

And for the record, during all of the Croom years, the attendance only dropped below 40K three other times, all during 2006, during a 6th straight year of suckitude. So we didn't just routinely not show up for the homecoming games at all like Ole Miss has recently.

Isn't that the game where Suh came for a visit and decided that he didn't want to play for State? If I remember correctly he was high on State originally because his Sister was playing Volleyball and he personally liked Croom. But the attendance killed any chance of him coming to State.
Interestingly enough low attendance has not hurt Ole Miss in recruiting...

....but if true, it also couldn't have helped during the visit that State LOST TO UAB.
