As I understand Bost quit going to class toward the end oftheseason and now has grade problems he will not be able to recover from. If that is true, his departure was probably in response to his understanding he would not be acedemicly eligible to play next fall. If that is true, Stans could not make that public. I could also dream up a plausable situation where Bost might not want to stand face to face with Stans and discuss that situation.

If the grades thing is true, then I can see where he would beforced to go and play with anyone (Europe or wherever) who might give him a shot.

If his grades kept him from playing ballthis fall, then he would beout of college Basketball forever - Correct?

He could have gone to summer school and while he may have had to sit out in the Fall, he could have gotten eligible for the Spring semester...and he is only a Soph, how would that keep him out of college basketball forever???

I think he simply quit going to class because he made up his mind he wasnt coming back to State, and he didnt want to transfer and sit out a year...he decided to make the leap into some type of pro basketball

And what would be your tangible evidence upon which you base your thought?

School just isnt for everybody. He went to prep school for a reason. I dont hink the kid quit going to class because he hated playing for Stans or MSU. The kid just hated college period. Coming back playing for Stans wasnt the problem. Having to go to summer school and actually work harder than ever in class just wasnt that appealing to him.

For Dee he was clearly somewhat emotionally unstable and was probably difficult to coach/control. I also don't think he was the best student, but heck neither are most of the other athletes in football/basketball.

For Stans it's pretty clear that he has trouble gaining the respect of his players and I've heard that for quite some time. When you combine a coach that doesn't have respect with some players with attitude problems you're just asking for trouble unless you have some strong leadership inside the team which we didnt' seem to have either.

We're not going to be that great next year either so I'd be all for just jettisoning Kodi as well since I don't think anyone will argue that he has a great attitude either.

Why couldnt he have come back to play after regaining eligibility? Players do this all the time all over the country.

As for the player having grade issues and keeping ita secret, im not sure how players each and every year sit out the 1st semester due to grades and it is common knowledge by all, not just rumor...but it happens.

Maddawg never brings anything to the table. He just spouts a variation of the same argument that Stans haters are always wrong with each of his posts. Guess without an *** of the day, there's nothing to Mad.

Incessent anti-Stans posts get under my skin. True. You got a problem with it? How about fighting your own battles instead of latching on to coach34's tit.</p>

While I didn't make that statement, I don't believe it to be necessarily wrong. Is it true in this case? I have no 17ing clue. Which puts me in the same boat as you.

Ifit's true he stopped going to class, then that's probably when he decided he wasn'tcoming back to school.

Bost seemed unhappy at MSU, but I always assumed he would stick it out at least one more year b/c that washis best available option.Apparently, he'd rather takehis shotat pro ball now, presumablyoverseas or in the D-League, and if he ends up not making it, so be it. Seemsshort sighted to me, but if you hate college (presumably true if he quit going to class) and aren't planning on getting a job that requires a college degree, why not go ahead and take your shot?

I was asking a question to the original poster inresponse to their question which was this---> If his grades kept him from playing ballthis fall, then he would beout of college Basketball forever - Correct?

He asked that and i asked why wouldnt he be able to come back once his grades were OK, since players all over do this all the time.
