No word since Thursday. Pretty sure we will hear more Monday as Riley is on the west coast.

Had the same injuries when I was 14.
OMG i just realized how my post must have sounded---lol i'm a competitive speed skater and groin injuries are common. it just so happens that i dislocated my thumb and 5th finger in a crash 10 weeks ago and it really affects my start since i put my hand down during my start.

well played on your reply though.

Apolo Ohno is a Husker fan! Sweet!.... Just kidding, that's interesting though. I'm totally ignorant of speed skating. Do some colleges have speed skating competitions? Or how does one get started in speed skating if you don't mind me being nosey?

I thought for sure you meant it as a joke. Cool that it worked out that way.

i compete in indoor inline speed skating. it just so happens that the team that i skate for was Apolo Ohno's first team that he competed with. many of the Olympic short track and long track ice speed skaters used to compete on inlines and some still do. it just so happens that the USA indoor nationals is held every other year in Lincoln Ne. Look around the local roller rinks. many will have a speed team. thats how ya get started.

Very cool, I've always enjoyed watching the speed skaters at the Winter Olympics, Dan Jansen back in the day or Apolo Ohno, et al..... Anyway, thanks for the reply. Hope you reach your goals in skating and you don't aggravate your hand and groin injuries.;)

***Tommy Armstrong (ankle), Tanner Farmer (ankle), David Knevel (ankle), and Alonzo Moore (shoulder) all practiced on Tuesday. Armstrong showed no signs of being slowed down by his sprained ankle, which held him out of practice all of last week.

***Devine Ozigbo (ankle), Jordan Westerkamp (back), Cethan Carter (elbow), and Eric Lee (unknown) all sat out of Tuesday’s practice. However, Ozigbo did go through some work in a helmet, jersey, shorts and cleats.

Did Westercamp sustain more of an internal injury? Possibly bruised kidney? Hope he can get back to practice next week.

if you listen to the play westercamp got hurt on, there was certainly a loud wack sound, I figured that was pads.

Last I heard there were a few small fractures in his back.

That's the kind of thing I've been really worried about. I remember somebody mentioning him having some numbness in his leg, and I immediately thought spine/nerve which is never good (stating the obvious).

I personally have a herniated disk and arthritis in my back that can cause terrible pain in my leg at times, all at the ripe old age of 29. I can only imagine what he's dealing with considering how debilitating my comparably minor issues can be.
