Yeah we are longshots looking at that. Ill take the field against UNC, they are about ready to finally choke. Oregon state always seems to do well in the tournament but they have never been the highly rated team before

Anything higher than 8/1 makes NO SENSE as there are only 8 teams left. Stupid.

If there are only two teams left, and one is an overwhelming favorite, the other team will get closer to 4/1 odds than 2/1 odds. Why? Because 2/1 odds is similar to saying that a team has about a 50% shot at winning.

Worse odds than 8/1 for us only means that its felt that we have a less than 12.5 chance to win, because the average of other teams shot at winning is better than our own.

Would you give Jackson State 8/1 odds if they made it this far somehow? Of course not, nobody would take that bet. 90/1 odds however, is a bet someone might take.

Completely agree about UNC. Good chance they lose to NC State in the first game. I think LSU and OSU are both pretty strong favorites to make the finals, with LSU a pretty strong favorite to win it all.

Up until a few years back. Im glad they don't do that anymore. If they did reseed, my guess would be we would get the 7 seed in front of only Indiana

I'm not a gambler. However, common sense tells me that in a tournament of 8 teams each individual team has a 1/8 chance of winning... not taking into account strength of said teams. But now I see where the "odds" come into play. Odds are based on additional factors besides simply the number of teams which makes sense after all. My bad.

Not to mention but I read NC State was missing their best player to start the season. Since he has come back they have the best record or one of the best in college baseball
