someone normally posts their projections and seeding. Haven't seen one yet this year. I'm hearing Clinton as 2AA is becoming more and more like a potential reality, which may would help us avoid Shelby IF we made it the the state championship again but put us against a potential buzzsaw in East Lincoln. Shelby guys, you hearing anything about u moving to 2AA??

Shelby is not going 2AA. They would have to have had a 18 percent increase in the freshman class to move up. As far as moving away from Shelby as an opponent the next option is the winner of Andrews, Monroe, and East Lincoln or playing TW Andrews in round 3 or 4 in the east.

I'm trying to resist the temptation to post a 1-16 in each bracket until we get the new ADM numbers for this year, but I am working on a new thread of going through each conference and breaking down the key games the last two weeks with playoff implications...Remember the first step before projecting who goes in the 2AA vs. 2A brackets is determining which 64 teams make the playoffs, and somebody will get pushed big or small (and East/West) by that last surprise team in or out of the 64 that qualify

I plan on doing one next week once the ADM's are out.

Brian, in the Big South 2A side, assuming that Hunter Huss, Stuart Cramer, and Lake Norman Charter end up 2-5 in the conference (with losses the next two weeks for HH and SC, and a LKN Charter win over North Gaston) and in the tie breaking draw, HH and LKN got the 1 and 2 slots, respectively, would Stuart Cramer with a 5-6 overall finish get a WC slot in the playoffs or be left out in the cold? As crazy as the conference has been, especially on the 2A side, I can totally see this happening.

sasha, I'm not Brian, but it appears that there will be a multitude of 5 win teams in 2A trying to qualify for the playoffs who are not locked in from their conference finish...if that is the case, 2-5 is NOT good, because that is only a .286 win% in conf, and win% in conf. is the tiebreaker, for example, if there are 9 spots left for example, in the 64 playoff spots for 2A/2AA, and there are 13 teams with 5 wins, then the four to get left out will be the four with the worst conference win %, and .286 is usually going to be at the bottom of that list, there will be a lot of teams 5-6 and 2-3 in conference, which is .400, or 3-4, which is .429, or even 2-4, which is .333....3 conference wins is usually the magic number, to either get a 3 seed in a conference of 6 teams, or to almost be guaranteed a wild card in a conference with 7 teams, provided you win a couple of non-conf. games early

Thanks, tarheelg, I posted that before LN Charter upset Ashbrook. After that happened, all bets (and my head) went out the window in our conference. Of course, some similar stuff is happening in 3A. Just a weird year all around, I think.
