The guy can simply not coach. Disregard the fact that he's without his two best players- we're losing to teams that don't have one single player we would have offered scholarship to.
He's still has better talent and he's getting outcoaches plain and simple. I can understand dropping an OOC game to an inferior opponent ever now and then. It happens to most non Top 10 teams every so often.
But this makes two already - all at home. We've all watches the past few years enough to know that he is among to worst offensive coaches in D1.
We made several crucial mistakes in just the last 50 seconds:
1) We did great to get a 3-second call to have the ball up 2 and promtply turn the ball over
2) We then foul them when they are in the 2 shot penalty (didn't see it so unless we wrapped up a guy that was going for an uncosted dunk or layup, it's a bad foul)
3) They miss the second free throw and we allow them to get the offensive rebound. I'm willing to be we didn't box somebody out since I haven't seen us attempt that basketball skill much in the last 5 years.
Note to Stricklin - I understand it's hard to fire the guy based on his overall record and achievements at State. But you've got to tell the guy he's got to hire someone who knows how to teach a team to score.
