I know there were some posts but I think they were buried on the gameday thread…

In the immortal words of Greg Schiano, "They have a thing."

It was said Sam Brown was an emergency RB and could play in a pinch last week.
If no setbacks Salaam should be a go.
Young is an enigma.

Guess you’ll have to wait to see and whether the betting line changes.

I wouldn’t count on any extended action by Brown and Young until V Tech then Michigan. Feed the other RB’s Monangai Benjamin and. Salaam

What GS said was that Brown was basically ready but then had a "thing". So I would guess he is close but would only be called upon if needed... and I hope he shows patience as he is not in danger of losing his spot even if these other two do well. On Young.. I do not recall what was said. But goto youtube and check the post-game and pre-temple pressers... GS gets asked directly.

What exactly is Brown recovering from still?
Broken foot?
Lisfranc?
Turf toe?
Dislocated pinky toe?
In grown toenail?

Was it ever said what happened last year?

ACL … you are a fairly regular poster no? It has been mentioned numerous times. As the podcast says I don’t see him playing until V Tech.

Nope, it was a foot injury.

Same. My understanding has always been its a "foot injury".

ACL would have been much bigger news.
Brown wasn't immediately ruled out for the season after it happened and HC Schiano intimated it wasn't serious last year.

I too remember it being a foot injury…but I thought he had surgery on it last year. So it wasn’t that minor a thing.

If ok to go, would like to see Sam get at least a few carries against Temple to give him some live game action before VT.

In the press conference, Schiano said Young was ready and then tweaked his back last week so sat out but should be back soon. Brown was ready in an emergency but hasnt practiced any plays. Salaam should be ready soon but no exact updats

In the post game podcast, it seemed Richie wasn't shocked Brown didn't play and that Brown hadn't been practicing all camp?

Did anyone ever ask HC Schiano in a presser about Brown? Were they told not to ask?
Media saw some parts of practice and obviously saw Brown missing the entire time.

Did you not see my post above? Not a single question about Brown or Young.
Media and visitors are not allowed to discuss what they see at practice except for generalities.
