Anybody catch Sherrill throwing out "Mississippi" in his column today?

Beautiful.

I remember when that moniker started. I believe it was prior to the Egg Bowl during Daniel Boyd's Sr year, whatever year that was. All the sudden it was "Mississippi" this, "Mississippi "that". Boyd did an interview for Egg Bowl TV filler and he said "when you've played a football career at Mississippi State, the first thing people will ask you about is how you did against Mississippi".

I about fell out of my chair. Yeah, that's the first thing people will ask = "how did you do against Mississippi". LOL

I love that man. He still carries on this stuff today.

that Boyd ended up in Oxford in the medical field. We just need to get him on the football physician's list. Let him work on a couple of those knees.

that they didn't deserve two nicknames. So he just called them Mississippi. He did it because he knew it would piss off Rebel fans. Classic.
