Who cares? Mullen's not our QB coach. And for the record, I don't think anyone who spoke highly of in did it in regard to QB mechanics or easing pain. When Mullen has been credited in his work with QB's, it has been in reference to the fact that he has been really good at maximizing the results experienced by the QB's on the field. It doesn't matter what they look like doing it or how they do it, it just matters that they do it. Mullen has been very good at getting the most out of his QB's on the college football field.
And I love that Alex Smith is sometimes brought up as evidence that he's not great with QB's, that he had 1st pick talent but hasn't done anything with it. Uh....doesn't this SUPPORT Mullen? Either the guy didn't have great talent but Mullen made him perform so well that he was drafted #1 overall, or without Mullen's coaching, he has regressed to below his talent level and isn't playing well. Either way, all signs point to Mullen being good for him at Utah.
