Also have the 2nd best record in the majors. Its a miracle with the injuries and inconsistencies of the offense. The pitching has been a godsend. Lowest ERA in the majors. Anybody that thinks Dave Duncan and Tony Larussa arent worth every penny they make then they dont know Coach34 from a hole in the ground. If we can just get Albert locked in then look out.

Jason Larue nearly getting trampled by the sausages was pretty funny.

Nothing against Tom Nieto, but if I could pick a guy to get run over by the tarp machine, he would not have been a bad choice on the 85 team.

That would help Pujols out a LOT. They had a story in the Post-Dispatch on Sat. literally begging Moziliak to go after Mark DeRosa for the Indians. I think he would be a great fit if they could pull it off because he can play a lot of positions. I think they are putting too many eggs in the Troy Glaus basket. Ludwick coming back will help the offense out to, but I still would like another bat like DeRosa's.

I really like Motte and Perez. Against KC on Fri., Motte's first pitch was 94. Then he was loose. He was blowing people away throwing 96-98. Perez has looked pretty good this year to. His ERA is 2 something. When they get better in time, they are really going to be quite a tandem. I think Jess Todd is going to be pretty good in time as well coming out of the bullpen.

If they could get another decent starting pitcher, that would be nice to for insurance. Plus, I'm not a big Todd Wellemeyer fan. I'd like to move him to the bullpen if at all possible, although his last two starts have been pretty good.

One thing I will say from having watched them- I really like how they play together. They don't have the bes talent in MLB, but they seem to be playing well as a unit, and they all seem like they are having fun. They're a fun team to watch.

...it's going to come out next week that Glaus is done. Already the GM is saying he has less than a 50/50 shot at playing. They are going to be looking to make some kind of deal. Thurston/Barden were good to start out, but the offensive hole at short and third is glaring. I expect them to add a bat.
