Opinions on homosexuality set aside, how in the hell can you think it's a bright idea, in MS of all places, to tell a lesbian she can't bring a same-sex date to the prom and then tell the ACLU to 17 off? That's ridiculous. You might as well have go ahead and have "coloreds only" water fountain in the basement for the black kids, snap a pic, and send it to one of the Jessie or Al.

Let the kids (all parties) get a little exposure to real life. The lesbian couple can show up and get exposed to some good old fashioned public discriminatin' and the sheltered kids can finally see a real live gay person! Everyone will be better prepared for modern day society...win for all!

The science backs you up. It's not a choice.
Really? Not that I'm not negating the possibility of a genetic connection, but I haven't seen any definitive studies for the positive. The last I saw was lesbians only, totally questioned based, and very much came down on the choice side. Certainly if there was scientific proof it would've made the national news?

to know that in 50 years you will be looked back at inthe same way we currently look back on people who thought blacks shouldn't be able to drink from the white man's water fountain?

Believing homosexuality is "wrong and immoral" (are those two different things? why doyou keep saying both?)makes you a homophobe.

it is true to the point that folks "pick and choose rights" when it is convenient for their cause. EVERYTHING offends someone yet there are selects groups that get preferential treatment...******, minorities etc...while others such as ugly folk, fat folk, dumb folketc are discriminated against and have their "rights" offended all the time and nobody bats an eye.

What makes ****** and minorities so special thattheir rights are so polarized yet other "groups" are not?

You can choose for yourself what's wrong or immoral, but others must make their own choices. Whether you agree with them or not, it's really none of your damn business.

I've been thinking about cheating on my wife with a couple of hot Swedish twins. Do you think she'll go for the "I was just born this way" routine? Thanks.

Just cause you're born a certain way doesn't justify certain actions.

makes someone a homophobe? So believing anything is wrong or immoral makes someone some kind of phobe?? A beastialityphobe, a pedophilephobe, a murderphobe, a trannyphobe etc???

Sexual preference and murdering black people aren't even remotely comparable. That's an extemely perverted analogy.

is the fact how schools are damn dictatorships and have dumb *** rules all the way around from what you can and cant where (flip flops, fraternity shirts, etc), to punishing you for things that happen outside of school (this happens at college as well) to all kinds of other ****.

They do this to avoid anything and everything that might be a distraction etc. Face it, in MS 2 chicks or dudes acting guy are gonna disrupt/distract a bunch of teenagers. That said, probably not quite as much as someone farting in class.

I am comparing one person's free speech and right to act a certain way with another person's free speech and right to act a certain way. That was simply the example I used. It could have been lesbian vs. nudist or lesbian vs. communist.

If thinking homosexuality is wrong and immoral makes me a homophobe, then so be it.

...it's entirely possible your kids are sitting in class somewhere with my kids and they might become friends.
