Jalen Steele's shooting was really really good. Brian Bryant looked improved and made some tough looking shots. Deville is really fast. Hood got to the basket effortlessly on a couple of occasions (at least it seemed like it). And the team seemed to have some good depth. <div>
</div><div>John Lucas was also in attendance. </div>

Everyone had inflated stat, apparently.

It seems like whenever I hear Stans talk about how much someone has improved in the offseason like he's done with Bryant this year, there ends up being very little change. All I can do is roll my eyes when I hear him say that, but those are some solid numbers for him. Maybe there's something to what Rick has been saying.

Never thought Lewis would ever be much more than an 8 pt / 8 reb type guy, but it's good see him scoring 31 points, even if it is just a scrimmage. He has really improved since his freshman year a couple years ago.

Finally, I got the impression that Johnson was pretty much just a last second grab to fill an open scholarship, but I like seeing those rebounds. We've missed guys like him and Moultrie for several years now. If he ends up being as tough as he seems, he'll be a welcome addition.

If Lucas was really in attendance, I'm impressed.

Did you just start watching MSU basketball 2 or 3 years ago? Because that is about when we stopped playing it. I guess things do change. Secondly, there is no telling the duration of the scrimage, and I'm sure there weren't many subs if we were going 5 on 5.

Some of you people will try to find anything to ***** about I swear.

So those stats reflect > %125 of a real game's time and there weren't subbing...my point is made.

that still works out to 100 points per team per 40 minutes. That's a lot of points. Either we're really, really good offensively; or we're really, really bad defensively. I'm guessing a little of both.

We're going to have to win by outscoring people. And it looks like we have the players to do that. We'll just have to see how they all come together. I think everybody on that team learned a lesson from last year. Seeing quotes from Sidney saying, "We were childish last year" gives me some hope that they have.

We've been known as a touch rebounding/defensive team for many of the Stansbury years and while it's usually led to good seasons, it hasn't done squat for us in the postseason. Someone else can analyze the reasons for it, but my 2 cent analysis would be that it only takes one hot shooter on a given night to completely destroy the best defensive team. I'm ready to score some points and see what happens.
