I'm starting a kickstarter to raise the funds and bring the salesman back. But seriously, after seeing how recruiting is going I think it's really going to hurt us. Imagine how the WRs would look in a year or two (or even this year) if we didn't have Brewster to sell the world to Ross and Wilson

Honestly, I'd forgotten all about him. But I don't think any amount of funds, almost, would get him away from FSU and back to us.

The 2013 WR class was impressive. If we can keep them all on campus, we'll be in damn good shape next year. I'm not sure how athletic they are compared to SEC CBs, but even still that class raised the talent level. Baby steps, I suppose.

I was being facetious but really I wish we'd has given him what he wanted and made him OC. Another instance of Mullen(s) being a knot head

I wish we had too, but since we sorta rescued him I guess Mullen thought he's stick with us at least for a while. But I suppose the assumed loyalty wasn't there. And money talks, of course.

After meeting and speaking with Brewster for several minutes I am not at all

upset that he coaches for FSU now. His B.S. persona is not sustainable.

Oh boy, I guess I should have been more specific. His immature, horseshit

attitude will play fine with the 17 y/o kids but it is not sustainable with the other coaches over the long haul. Just my opinion. By the way I am an avid duck hunter but I can't watch Duck Dynasty very long without reaching for the remote but my 11 year old son loves it and he would probably like Brewster too*.

Thanks for clearing up that you weren't serious about a Kickstarter campaign to bring Brewster back. Because, you know, that would have been dumb as 17.

Have made a point previously that although State is not competitive with assistants' salaries in the SEC, it may not matter. It seems that the really good ones aren't interested in staying. If they get another offer with a significant raise or not, they're going to leave anyway...sooner than later. The challenge seems to lie in finding really good staff that want to stay in Starkville, regardless of who the HC is. Maybe it's always been that way, and maybe the reason success for us is about what Dan has done. Having typed all that, I don't mean to imply that all our coaches are not good coaches. Wish I could be more positive.
