both awards are given to the players that compete against the competition they are allowed to compete against

State POY is the highest individual award you can win

because in no way does winning State high school coach of the year = SEC Coach of the Year.

it would be equal to National COY- SEC is just a conference award

Is it as important? Of course not. Never said one time it was...but if you correlate the awards, its a higher award
