Not saying their right, but people started throwing bible verses at them. Maybe they should go to Genespage and get saved.

Wasting water in order to show that meat wastes water? Am I missing something?

While that is a valid point, i would want to see what1 pound of beans requires in terms of water. Thatd be since beans =a protein source for them.
Or what 1 pound of lettuce/kale/spinach requires in terms of water.

I would be surprised if it takes 6 months of shower water to grow.

And their point was conservation...at least i think thats what it was supposed to be at least. So if it conserves versus beef, then there iswhat they hope to be an appealing reason for greenies to go vegan.

I love beef as much as the next guy, but Americans might be the only breed in the world that eats meat with every meal. Its not only bad for the environment, but its bad for you too. <div>

So everyone should follow along. We have been a country for less than 250 years, yet we are the world'slargest superpower. Everyone would be speaking German or Japanese if it wasn't for us. Veggie eatingcandy-asses should take note.

Maybe everyone else should eat more meat. This whole green/vegan movement is quite possibly the biggest lie in the history of the world.

Her 'nearly half of all water' comment looks to be incorrect. Yet that didnt address the factoid that i previously mentioned.

I dont doubt an agenda driven organization skewed facts or misrepresented them or whatever...its what agenda driven organizations do...they misrepresent to make their agenda look the best. But that link didnt address the 1lb=6mo shower. No idea if that is actually accurate or not.

The Humane Society of the United States is a smoothly run operation with shitloads of money that puts out a message that entices the average American to give them money. I'm sure everyone has seen their commercials on tv with puppies and kittens and thats why people give them money. Yet only 1 to 2 percent of their money goes to animal shelters. The rest is spent generally on their own interests which is mainly to scare companies into giving into their demands and buying products only from HSUS approved farms (i.e. free range chickens, cageless egg production). While they will not come out and publicly say it, their goal is to end nearly all animal agriculture in the US. They have recently scared Subway and Sonic Dive Ins into buying products from their approved list with the threat that they would have huge protests against those companies if they didn't give in to their demands.

If you want to give money to help animals, give it to your local animal shelter because they always do need some money. Those people generally do great work in rescuing abused animals.

nothing wrong with a little meat. However, I think it's safe to say the Greatest Country in the World eats a little too much of everything - meat included. We don't do so well with a little of anything. Don't get me wrong, I'm fine with people having the "17 it, I'm American, I can eat what I want!" attiitude as long as they're fine with developing type II diabetes, heart disease, or one of a long list of various cancers or other diseases. It's your life, not mine.

Just make sure when the doc tells you to change your diet to prevent the inevitable (or help with the damage done), swallow a little pride and listen. My health insurance premiums are high enough as it is.
