They have egg on their face with he Cam situation. This HBO documentary de-pants them and comes off embarassing the hell out of them. Now Petersen was shopped. Oregon fiasco with Lyles. Ohio State. I believe someone is about to have an example made out of them. I think it will possibly be Auburn. Especially if the NCAA talk to McGlover and he says the assistant at the time giving him $$ was Chizik, but I think I remember hearing the assistant wasnt there anymore and rumors it was gram (sp?) from FSU

You know that it is true because Chizik is calling it all just garbage. That means it is true and he knew about it in Chizik talk.

in their pitiful existence . The school presidents should give the NCAA a giant enema and start over. It`s in bad bad shape.

We can only hope. But the NCAA has turned a blind eye to the sacred cows too long.

This really seemed to all start last year around this time with the UNC deal and the agents. Then it spread to Newton. Then the Liles thing. The tOSU thing with the tattoos is completely separate, but when you mix that in it's been a crazy 12 months for the NCAA.

They have to come down on somebody, but I have a hard time believing they can come down on OSU, Oregon, Auburn, and say LSU all at once, especially after just hitting USC.

Who knows what will happen, but the agent thing both at the NFL level and the high school level has really had its top blown off lately, and it's not pretty.

Hey, they already got us for giving Doug Buckles $20 on a recruiting trip!

That's in the same ballpark, right?

...Just like Mutt the Hoople has always informed us when Rebel Nation is imploding, I can inform you the NCAA is imploding.

The NCAA is a huge, chaotic mess that is more venal than anything we see in local or national government.

The NCAA will eventually collapse under the weight of its own corruption & incompetence.

The NCAA is running **** and will continue running ****. They will make an example of someone, and they will do it in a rather harsh way to try to send a message to the rest of the membership. They will also change rules to close loopholes and crack down on agents and handlers. They will market all of this as an overhaul of the rules, and the media will buy it.

The NCAA is corrupt and has no oversight, but it's been that way for decades and it will be that way for decades. There's too much money at stake to see anything change too drastically.</p>

Emmert came off like Tariq Aziz with his utter ******** responses. Every one working for the NCAA has been "inside the loop" for so long as university presidents, athletic directors and coaches that they don't see the problems right in front of their faces. They think "Well, we're making tons of money so why mess with it?" But we've all seen this movie before. Things will be going fine with all the cover-ups, then something, no one usually sees it until it happens, but something will blow up this charade and the circular firing squads will begin.<div>
</div><div>Then, my guess is that the BCS schools will leave the NCAA and start their own league further crippling the Indianapolis mafia's grip. I was told by an Associate AD at a non-BCS school that the BCS schools will break away within the next 5-10 years most likely. They said its not "if" but "when" - and seemed very certain about it. Said all the non-BCS schools know it will happen eventually and the smart ones are already attempting to prepare for it.</div><div>

It's the media that digs all this stuff up, not the damn NCAA.

If it wasn't for the media college athletics would be WAY worse.
