The stats don't matter much because they played like 53 minutes but Bost had around 40 points and Ravern had 30. As for my take on it:

1. Sidney looked like a lazy POS. I think Brad Locke said it best when he said Sidney looked like a bigger Kodi.
2. Bost looked better than ever and could start the season right now if he could.
3. Ravern tried to guard Bost for a while hence the 40 points by Bost however Ravern can still really fill it up from long range.
4. Bryant and Steele are going to be very solid for us and they are going to have to be because of #5 below.
5. Twany is going to be a turnover machine and looks like Ray Charles when he attempts a shot.
6. If Elgin stays healthy he will give us some valuable bench minutes
7. Kodi is Kodi. Useless 70% of the time.
8. Moultrie is smooth as silk and will be the best outside shooting big man we have ever had.
9. Riek was........better.......somewhat. He did throw Ravern's shot into the parking lot once.
10. Shaun Smith 's shooting really impressed me but I will have to see him do it in a real game to believe it for real.
11. Lewis was very much improved and looked more confident and less clueless on defense. He frustrated Sidney.
12. We still have the worst walk ons in the country.

We all know he is lazy, but can he still ball on offense? So you think Bryant will start over Tranny until Bost comes back?

Thanks for the info..

All your RSS did on offense was jack up long jumpers and fart around with his mouth piece to the point I was distracted by it. His defense was nonexistent except for an occasional reach in foul. I was very disappointed in his performance. Everyone knows he has the talent and I don't want to judge him too harshly based off a scrimmage but the last thing we need this year is two Kodi's. I might shoot myself if I have to watch that.

I think Twany will start the first few games but get pulled pretty quickly in favor of Bryant/Steele. Twany also will not see the floor at the end of a game. His free throw shooting is an abomination. Other teams will employ the Hack-a-Tranny in a heartbeat.

Tranny couldn't get the ball up the court in the first closed scrimmage because Dee picked his pocket virtually every time. Imagine Coach Stans told Dee to chill out with that and let Tranny at least get the ball up the floor, just speculative there. No way to know that.

Bryant is the answer at point and it will be interesting how long it takes Coach Stans to figure that out.

Benock, from the second he receives the ball, is instantly looking to get rid of it via pass, or turnover.Absolute waste of minutes. Every second that he is on the floor takes developmental time away from Steele orSmith.

Sidney looked just like you said, probabaly a softer Kodi, slightly better skills, with more attitude. Just what we needed! I do not envy Coach Stans' position dealing with the egos there.

We are going to need more toughness early in the season until Bost gets back. Tranny-soft, Benock-soft, Ravern-ultra-soft, Kodi-kind of soft, Riek and Lewis are the only tough guys in that lineup.

Bryant and Dee are the answer, we have Bryant from thestart of the season so it will be on the coach how many minutes he gets. Also, Kodi needs to beshown a highlight reel of Brandon Vincent and told to "go be like that guy".

if our scrimmage is anything like what Kansas State or Kentucky put on(they were both aired on CSS), forgive me if I'm not worried about our defensive effort. With Bost having 40 points I'm going out on a limb and saying it was.

I have been in the boat of why is Twany on this team for a long time, but I thought he looked much improved Saturday. Yeah, he cant shoot which is why he didnt try to many times. He ended up with a fairly effecient percentage I believe (over 50%), but yes his free throws are horrible

So sluggish. A few times Elgin blew right by him, which is sad because Elgin is a huge, slightly-injured, dude. <div>
</div><div>The only thing positive was his jump-shooting.</div>

However, Sidney will get it and he can shoot the ball. Didn't play that well Saturday but he is definitely more near a decent playing weight and he will be a factor. Bailey is still Bailey and we need him but my guess is Sidney ends up with lots more of the minutes and Wendell Lewis is much improved. No question Bost will play the two most of the time and he will be All SEC if he plays with the same attitude and desire. I like Moultrie too and after seeing him am not as concerned about losing Tyler Adams. Adams is no where near as good as Moultrie. We definitely have several scorers when we get Bost and Sidney playing along with Ravern. Going to be a fun team to watch and I predict we see a ton of zone defenses once all the pieces are in place.

Uh have you ever seen Ravern play defense. He looked like that during SEC games last year. Bost knew it and made him look like crap. I think Dee scored about 11 points in two minutes when Ravern was on him.

I agree that our team defense will be better than it was in the scrimmage. I just worry about guys like Kodi and Ravern who pick and choose when they want to play D.

I'm not saying he hasn't improved, but I'm not expecting much out of him until he produces in a few games.</p>

1. Ravern and Bost are amazing and Ravern's 3 pointer is basically impossible to block.
2. Sidney is our worst big man
3. Moultrie is an NBA caliber athlete and made like 15 3's in a row when warming up.
4. Benock is scared to death of touching the ball.
5. We combined the best athletes we could find with a decent AA academy team.
6. Twanny is the only person on the team that lifts weights.
7. Bailey is our best big man.
