Anyone here ever think about giving up watching sports?

I've watched less and less sports in the last few years. As money has flowed into them, a lot of the fun has departed. Much of it is little more than reality tv programing at this point.

I have your solution.

I don't see the SEC channel anywhere for the Memphis area. They got the B10 network, but no SEC?.....smack dab in the middle of SEC country? Surely not.

Those close losses late bothered me. Not a lot, nothing major to ruin my day, but I was like damn, my team lost another game it could have won and after 2 prior years with little to cheer about. Yesterday was no big deal. It was over by halftime and I'm no longer as emotionally involved. I have other things to do. I am looking forward to baseball season because we can compete in that sport but so can other SEC schools.

I swear MSU is so frustrating to watch that I just want to give up watching all sports. It’s been 25 years of headaches over 19 year old kids playing a game. Some people just become a bandwagon fan. That ain’t for me. I’ll never be a bandwagon fan I was born to love Mississippi State. At the end of the day it’s better for my health to not even watch anymore lol
What you going to replace it with? The cooking channel, Fox News?

Stick to sports…. Being a state fan makes you more mentally tough.

It isn't that people don't care about the game. It's just that when a team of 5-*'s beat a team of 3-*'s by 20, that's to be expected. Calling Coach Lebby a failure is idiotic.

Yes, State was outcoached yesterday.....by a two-time National championship coach with an experienced staff. Nearly every other team Georgia faces will be outcoached as well.

So as I've grown older I've begun to pull for Alabama and found myself each year getting more and more invested in them. Especially with saban leaving and everyone talking about that won't be good. They fit that underdog role, in a way.

I’m really kinda glad we don’t beat the top teams very often. That way it just makes way more exciting when we do beat them, and have a good year! ***

I’ll always watched but I’m definitely detached from the outcome. Sports are just too awesome to ignore.

You just can’t let it claim too much of your emotional property. I’ll get frustrated or happy until I turn the game the game off, then it’s back to living my life. Just enjoy the good times. Without valleys, there are no peaks. Regardless of the outcome, I’m blessed and God is good.
