Really ****** for Notre Dame to quit on the bowl game. Can't imagine being a senior and missing out on the last game you'll ever play because of a tantrum by your University.

Also just in general: if head to head for two comparable teams doesn’t matter then you just need to blow it all up and start over. That being said, Miami(FL) should have been ranked higher than ND in previous releases
How Miami (10-2) dose not make the ACC Championship game over (7-5) Duke is crazy. Should have been able to play for it vs UVA.

There is a ton of ND talk but what about BYU? Also jobbed….

I actually thought we could very well see BYU and Bama make it and both ND and Miami(FL) out. This would help sell the "losing your CCG doesn't hurt" idea and avoid the oddness of taking the Canes instead of the Irish despite their positions in the ranking the week prior.

Big Ten should drop every scheduled game with them for all sports. There isn’t any real incentive to play them anyway. No one cares what fans want and schools are turtling up - it’s all about easy schedules and wins. They say they have to fend for themselves? Let them.

Heck, Notre Dame is literally an affiliate member of the conference (in men's ice hockey) so that would be awkward.

The next time I think PSU is getting screwed, I'll try to remember that Miami didn't make the ACC championship and ND missed the playoff. Honestly never thought I’d see the day where the powers that be wouldn't move land and sea to get ND into the playoff.

Our multiple J.D.s, does this sound feasible ?

Wut? No. We don't know if such a clause exists and there's no reason to think it's been violated in any way, shape or form, if it does.

This is just some punk arse whining babyman, walking away crying, and saying "my dad is going to beat up your dad" because he can't think of anything logical to say in the face of disappointment.

They might have a case. Did you see that the ACC Network replayed the Miami Notre Dame game on a loop the other day?
Did you know the CFP playoff committee which has three former coaches, watched a replay of Miami's dominating win over ND before the committee voted? Word I heard on radio was the coaches all agree ND was badly outplayed in that game so the head-to-head had an impact on the vote.

Well, that's now $1.5 million in fines for the Big XII admin coffers with three teams opting out.
Baylor shouldn't be fined. They were 5-7 and only in that situation because of others. We'll see though...if they do fine them even better to try to kill the bowls

That's what you get for hitching your wagon to NBC as opposed to ESPN, home of the CFP...and the SEC and ACC.

ACC Network showed the ND/Miami game for 24 hours straight the other day. Who owns ACC Network and why lobby so hard in this way?? I wonder….?

The ACC has some weird tiebreaker rules. They (the ACC) screwed themselves.

In the year 2060, when the lastest version of Trivial Pursuit is out, there will be a question in the sports and leisure category: What did Notre Dame and Penn State football have in common during the 2025 season? Neither were invited to the 2025 CFB championship. 🙂

I am. They are easily one of the four best teams in the country and are probably playing better than anyone. Fun team to watch. I'm sure the other contenders are glad they got left out.
This is one of the dumbest posts. Notre Dump beat no one with a pulse. They lost to the two playoff teams they played. If they had any guts and joined a conference like the B10 or the ACC they would have 3 losses. If they had Penn State's schedule then they lose to Oregon, Indiana and Ohio State. They played no one and got exactly what they deserved. Bama beat Georgia at Georgia and earned their way to the SEC ccg. Notre Dump earned nada except a seat on the couch to whine and cry like the crybabies they are.

I think it's a bad look for ND administation to act like spoiled children to categorically reject a bowl game. They look like punk a$$ b*tches. I believe we should start referring to their leadership as "Karen."

Been saying that for years and particularly after ND chose not to re-new their series with Penn State after losing 8 out of 12.
