I'm content with the measurables on Applewhite but are there any post players still out there we have offered? I think I've seen Kessler mentioned but he seems like a UGA lock.
At this rate it may be the 4 guard Duke look with an offensive hole in Wendell inside.

Just moving over from Genes page. Could not take going over the cliff with the other lemmings! Is anyone else worried about our basketball program? We cannot keep beating out Missouri Southern for recruits and compete. I continue to hear disturbing news of our inability to recruit. A former SEC coach tells us Davis had only one other legitimate offer, Winthrop! Someone console me please! Gene says everything is going to be all right!LOL
at least give Ray a full recruiting cycle before you jump off the bridge about recruiting. NO, I don't think Ray will likely recruit to the level Stans did for a while, and maybe never, but that doesn't mean we won't have just as good of a team in a few years if we actually have some discipline and accountability in our program with the players brought in. The 2 players he has signed appear to be decent pickups for this time of year and probably the only negative on Ray at this point is the fact that he couldn't convince Hood to stay or possibly did something to turn Hood off to leave. Pollard dropped us out of the mix before Ray was even named and I don't think has really given Ray a fair shake to get back in with him.

Starting 5 should be Ware, Lewis under the goal, Sword, Steele outside, and Davis at the point. That wouldn't be the worst starting 5 State has put on the court in the last 5 years. And I guarantee they'll work harder and play better D than Stans' teams.
I am happy to see him. Applewhite should be a nice contributor for a couple years. Good get this late in the process. Now, one more and make it a big guy down low to give us some size down there and this next year may surprise us all.
one, because I don't think Ware will come in ready to start anyway and two, neither of those 2 guys would give you much of anything offensively. We will likely play more of a 4 guard lineup at least until Ziedaks gets eligible. I would think it would be more of a Davis, Steele, Sword, SSmith and Lewis starting though Fred Thomas may also be a factor in starting if he gets eligible.
