Texas postponed 6A and 5A for a few weeks. The two largest classifications.

The rest are playing. Only one small 3A? school near the Coastal Bend opted out.

But you see a lot of why certain conferences played and didn't play.

Interested in how much of a fight was in the ACC.

Huntington Prep announces it will not play in 2020-21 season

https://www.williamsondailynews.com...cle_752dfbb5-f4fa-5817-be5d-48dbcbda95c2.html

Huntington Prep’s announcement is the first of what will likely be many for some of the nation’s top prep programs who play a national schedule, but the announcement comes at a time for transition within the program after last month’s announcement that St. Joseph Central and Huntington Prep were ending their relationship.

The relationship between the program and the school lasted several years, but after recent administrative change, St. Joseph decided to end its relationship with Huntington Prep following the 2019-20 year.

St. Joseph principal Carol Templeton cited the program failed to uphold its financial obligations to the school as the reasoning behind the decision.

Bruce confirmed at the time of the announcement that Huntington Prep did indeed owe the school $54,000, which was brought on by mid-semester exits due to COVID-19, but the program has always paid in full and planned to do so once again for the 2019-20 season.

Bruce also said that the program and its players paid $65,000 in 2019-20 and have generated over $1 million in tuition revenue for the school during the program’s tenure, as well.

There have been some changes even in states playing football. Plus you had some schools cancel their season.

Don't think we will see many games between programs in different states. I know the Battle on the Border in Shreveport has been cancelled. Because of starting at different times the game between East TX powerhouse Longview and North LA powerhouse West Monroe was cancelled.

You can see a comparsion between places that are playing CFB with the HS.

Of course you can see it. 25 of 26 states run by Republicans are playing high school football, with only Maryland dissenting. There's only a handful of Democratic run states playing high school football. There's no place in sports for politics.

Maryland's Governor is a RINO and whines about Trump incessantly. Moreover, both of Maryland's U.S. Senators and seven of Maryland's eight members of Congress are Democrats, so Maryland isn't a red state at this point.
