Are these fair comparisons?

I was wondering if the new additions to the roster are an improvement over recent departures - without considering Ace and Dylan, of course.
So I have a couple of comparisons. Badalau similar to PJ Hayes, Zrno similar to Griffiths (2 seasons ago)

Here's the thing three of those are freshman to basketball in the US. Expectations are always too high for freshman.
Hayes was in his 4th or 5th year of college, just his first at this level. Zrno is a little older, so I think he would comp more to Hayes in that and they are more wings than a possible stretch 4 - although Gavin hasn't really filled out at all to play that role either.

Zrno is a better version of Hayes and Badalau is a better version of Martini, plus they are only freshmen. Buchanan is similar to JWill and should be our 2 guard.

Despite his inconsistent and underperforming play here 2 years ago, Griffiths would be the best player on this team now, not because he's developed more but because the team has scant talent, no exceptions.

A healthy Acuff is better than any of our three current micro-guards.

The Badalau / Hayes comparison is good. Neither can get off their 3 without help and both. Play lousy defense although Badalau can get you a block every now and then

Zrno and Gavin are not comparable. Zrno tried real hard moving to get open for a screen and had a quick release . He is getting good at the sideline screen and popping . Gavin never tried hard ever to get free for a screen look and kept hoisting 3’s further and further out like 28-30 feet away. Both also struggle on defense and rebounding so there is that commonality
