How are we being bought off and are 7-1 against the spread? You think there’s a vast conspiracy for us to cover but not win outright each week? Give me a break.

Trying to rationalize some of these losses is tough. I mean, maybe?

I mean, considering how insanely laughable MSU football has been at times, it's getting harder and harder for me to believe something nefarious isn't going on behind the scenes. That or the program is truly cursed. Nothing would surprise me right now.
When we hired Lebby and again last night my ex texted me and asked if ole miss got us to hire Lebby as sabotage. No crap. I told her last night she maybe on to something. It’s bad. You gotta try to lose the way we do.

Unfortunately it’s just incompetence. I’m quickly getting convinced that Lebby thinks he knows more than he does. He needs to hire an OC and concentrate on becoming a HC. He’s got a built in mentor in Briles (like it or not).

Two critical penalties. Field goal and left DE submarines the OL man knowing it is a penalty. 4th down and we rough the passer with plenty of time to pull up. Me thinks insurance for UT to win the game is better than just fumbling the ball. Couple that with the team running behind the punt returner and giving up. This looks scripted to me.

I would like to see us hire Briles as Head Coach, but keep Lebby as OC. That would never happen, but that would please a lot of people. We really do need to do something, anything to try to improve.

Hate to admit it, but the thought crossed my mind.
Same here I spoke to my fiance and grandmother about it even. They agreed there might be some smoke. Again I’m like you I hate to say it but it’s crossed mine as well as who knows how much influence Vegas has on these games or the damn Mob for that matter lol. I guess we’ll never know.

This is the most important information to ESPN and the SEC. Demographics means $$$ to advertisers. It is funny that many of the people tuning in are pulling against these teams. I know I used to.
Sports entertainment drama and close games. Are we not entertained

It wouldn’t surprise me. With NIL the SEC and major college football is going to start going the way of NFL in that there will be storylines and themes decided on before the year starts that the powers that be will do what needs to be done to let that play out.

It’s all about TV ratings and getting the most eyeballs on the product. Firing that ref was just for show because they are only making sure what needs to happen does.

Does that include the Alabama/South Carolina game? I'm sure most of us were watching our game instead of that one, but it had an odd ending and the preferred winner came out on top.

I’ll be honest I didn’t watch that, what happened if you don’t mind giving me the run down

Alabama tied the game at 22 with about 2 or 3 minutes to go with a TD and 2 point conversion, then SC fumbled the ball that eventually let Alabama go ahead. The fumble was controversial, but in my opinion really was a fumble. With maybe 30 seconds left in the game, SC purposely allowed Alabama to score the go-ahead TD, allowing a little time for them to tie the game, but they failed.

Remember, the SEC shares revenue equally. Better bowls pay more money. It benefits us financially to lose to Texas just as it benefits USCe to lose to Alabama. Mo' money is the name of this game!
