but yes. I love basketball and appreciate the NBA playoffs. They are just so damn good and fast and big and athletic. Awesome to watch NBA playoff basketball. Nothing like it. They need to cut down the regular season though, so unbelievable watered down.

I love the NBA playoffs. The season - I don't care about. So as long as they have a 50 or so game season and have the playoffs - I am fine.

last five minutes of playoff games and that is all you really need to watch.

The Grizzlies were fun as hell to watch last season and I was really looking forward to this one

I really enjoy watching the NBA playoffs and I'll go to a couple of Hornets games each year, but I can live with no season. As others have said, the regular season needs to be shortened. A 56 game regular season would be ideal, in my opinion.

due to the Grizzlies finally putting a team together that's fun to watch. I have to admit, though, a part of me was looking forward to watching some of the dumbasses squirm when their paychecks stopped coming and they could no long afford their 8 Bentleys. Yeah, you could probably say that about pro athletes of just about any major sport, but there's something about NBA players where they seem to just take financial recklessness to a whole new level.

I'll watch a preseason, mean-nothng college game and won't even watch the NBA finals. When Bird, Magic, Dr J, et al quit...I quit. Didn't even watch (much) during the MJ era.
I could watch Ivy League schools all day play basketball, yet will refuse to watch a slam dunk contest or All-Star Game.

I rarely watch anything but an occasional Laker game during the first half of the season. As the season wears on and teams start jockeying for playoff position the quality of play always picks up.

However these idiots in the NBA need to realize that if they do not reign in their salaries then there is not going to be an NBA anymore. There were alot of teams running in the red last year. Maybe LT should move to an NBA front office.

Why do you hope they never come to an agreement? Can't you just not watch it? I am not a hockey fan, but that doesn't mean I want the NHL to shut down, I just don't watch it

I hope it shuts down too. <17> 'em. I don't watch hockey anymore either, but I also don't give a **** if you want it shut down. I think the NBA is garbage and would love to see it completely shut down.

Yeah, after the way the Grizz finished up, i'm gonna be pissed. Long termn not as much. The hockey lockout was brutal, but it was for the greater good in terms of competitive balance. The NBA will be too, but withthe momentum the Grizz had, itis gonna suck bigtime.

That's effin ridiculous not wantingthe league and players toreach an agreement. Just because MLB sucks to me, it doesn't mean I want it nuked.

That doesn't even make sense. It's like you are almost forced to watch it

I swear it's like someone was putting a gun to your head to watch NBA games.

I was looking forward to it because the Grizzlies actually looked like they would be good this coming season.

The interesting dynamic in the NBA is the owners rift. You might have an owner or two in the NFL or MLB that might have issues with other owners but there is a huge rift in the NBA. Makes the negotiations even harder because the owners can't even agree.

What we all of the degenerates wager on? There will be more money wagered on hockey this year than ever before... This will be a good thing for hockey.

so it's imperative the NBA comes to an agreement or the top college players will leave for brighter pastures in Europe. USA has forever had the best basketball but no NBA would eventually shift the powers.

Nba is like watching wrestling. It just doesnt seem real. Went to one and only NBA game a couple of years ago and walked away unimpressed. It was like 20,000 getting together for a party with a basketball game going on in the background. Until the last 5 minutes ....when everyone pays attention. My opinion is Basketball was meant to be a finesse game and now it seems it is 5 on 5 king of the hill contest.
