Wild that they had Routledge go 165 less than 48 hours after wrestling at 157. Guess it gives him an idea of how different those 2 weights can feel. Like what we saw out of Kody this weekend. I know a redshirt is likely the plan for him, but I’m excited to see what he can do at (presumably) 165 after a full year training with this staff and Robideau/Dee.

Competition level lower this weekend. Merrill is going to find it difficult to separate score against a tall lanky or beast of a brute top 15 wrestler. He faced both at NDI lost to the brute which will always be difficult if said wrestler refuses to shoot.
Regardless of the opponent, to me, Merrill has been moving his feet more, has been quicker, more energetic and has taken sharper shots and his lateral movement is quicker lately.

Next year Dee Redshirts 🤔 (Routledge wrestles 65). Following year Facundo finished so Dee up to 74 as Haines is gone 🤷‍♂️

Based on the assumption PJ Duke and MM stay where they are this year.
Facundo has 2 more if he wants to use them . That following year is 2028 so could see Dee take an Olympic year. Not sure we see him redshirt next year if he's gonna take an Olympic

I thought Spratley wrestled solid but not good. I am getting very tired of watching Figueroa not be able to wrestle for 7 minutes and every match get called for stalling backing straight to the edge of the match and getting pushed or shot off the match. If I never saw another Figueroa match again, that would be okay. He has been a disappointment for over a year now. Vega had a tough match and won. He seemed off this day. Cutter was way outclassed as expected. Robideau was dominant as he has been all year. Routledge was better than Ruiz except he seemed to gas at the end. Facundo dominated Valencia especially in the 2nd half of the match because Valencia really seemed to gas and give up. Ryder won with a workman type match. Merrill wrestled a backup but looked quicker and stronger in this match. Doucette won a Doucette match against a very big strong opponent. A long way from home and so a good win for the team.

Good assessment. Vega had over 20 family members there that may have made him wrestle a little conservative plus Manville is good.
