When you order drugs over the internet and then sell them to some people you know does that really qualify you as a "high level distributor"?

Well whatever it is it can put you on a trip you can never return from. I would

imagine this young man is about to see his charges upgraded and will be made an example for all to see.

Yep, his law partner Gibbs is a friend of

Mine. We were youth football coaches and arch enemies on the gridiron.

But it is hard.......

The worst part of it to me is how he literally saw a kid he grew up with die from his "product" -- several others with irreparable damage -- and he kept right on chugging along like everything was fine before getting popped with the product on him. That's when your soul is totally gone, I guess. And just how stupid do you have to be to keep that much stuff on you and run it back and forth over distance? Especially with the heat after all the things went wrong?

I believe I read that two of the victims(?) of the synth LSD were Kappa Sigma pledges at State. Is this DA the Michael Guest that was a Kappa Sig at State? Gotta be right?

I was a Kappa Sigma and I Think guest

Was, Kappa Sig is strong in Rankin county. I think at at least one of the injured kids was a kappa sig pledge.

I believe that you are right. And guest will use a case like this to set an example and to beef up his platform for a run at AG. This kid is toast.

Yes, I know at least one of the kids who got hold of this stuff had just pledged Kappa Sig (MRA kid). But he just pledged and was withdrawn from school the first week of classes.....

I don't think Guest was a Kappa Sig (may be wrong) - I'm thinking Fiji for some reason

I was hearing 25i. What is the difference between n-bome and 25i? Or was it something else altogether that killed Peyton Rodenbaugh?

I also heard a week or so ago that someone was arrested but they didn't release the name. I heard a rumor that he was 22 and had thousands of hits in his possession. I hope they round them all up.

Yeah, this kid is about to get hit hard. Guest will throw the book at him.

Do I agree with what he was doing, absolutely not. But do I agree with the "punishment" that he will inevitably receive? Absolutely not.

Our justice system is extremely flawed when it comes to drug offenses.

This kid was no "major distributor." He just happened to stumble across some on the internet, and saw his opportunity. He was more than likely submerged in the drug culture, and got in way over his head.

So, one kid dies and a couple of others are permanently disabled as a result of the drugs that this kid sold them, and you don't think that he should have the book thrown at him? I am going to have to disagree with you on that. If it were just the drugs, I wouldn't have any problem with your position.....but the drugs that he sold effectively ended the lives of multiple other people, so as far as I am concerned, the kid should absolutely go to big boy prison for a substantial length of time.

Agree with sandwolf. This kid has been a bad apple with papa lawyer protecting him. Papa can't help him this time...

Can somebody "in the know" explain what is the difference in LSD and synthetic LSD? I thought all LSD was man made.

Guess I would ...

have to ask what you would recommend be done with someone that profited while inflicting at least one death and permanently damaging others including 'friends?'

At least, he will be able to live out his life after his sentence ... something his victim won't be able to do.

Yeah -- selling a product that ruined at least 3 families' lives in his hometown and keeping chugging along selling the hell out of it = "a flawed justice system". We aren't talking about a bad trip or two here.

Ok, I need to take a step back. I didn't realize this was the same product that the kids were killed from taking earlier this year.

That does change the way I view this. He does deserve the punishment coming if they link him to the deaths.

It's an extremely sad situation to have these kids dying. Really, really sad.

All LSD is derived from another source, I don't believe it is found as LSD in nature. To call what these kids took synthetic LSD is quite misleading—that's not what they took at all. Rather something that simulated some of the effects of LSD.

Nobody forced those kids to do drugs. At some point, the blame has to fall on them. You make choices in life.

I don't care that he sold them drugs, but if you're a seller, you have some responsible for quality control. They can have plenty of responsibility for choosing to take the drugs without it taking away from the fact that he bears enough of the fault to spend a long, long time in jail.
