Good man and a good Bulldog who probably gets a worse rap than he deserves for his coaching. We literally didn't have much more to work with than Southern Miss did in those days other than our SEC membership, but the checks weren't that big back then and the schedules were brutal as always. He did lay the foundation that Jackie built on in 1990 and 1991. Glad that Jackie is a good Bulldog too and brought him back to Starkville.

I've only met Rockey once, but his parents were fantastic people. Saw them often at church when I was a kid, and later when I was in High School. The only negative thing I can say is that Rockey got his play-calling philosophy from Babe.
