Here is an article that talks about the SEC's general recruiting and a little bit on each team. He says good things about most schools. There are about 3 or 4 teams that he doesnt talk good about and...well...we can pretty much guess which schools those are.

Without looking up where everybody is from, I already know we signed 2 out-of-state guys from places that do not border MS. We got a guy from Houston and another from Utah.

Nutt turned a 0 SEC win team into a back to back cotton bowl champ team. If Mullen did that you would say he was the greatest thing since sliced bread. In fact, he went 5-7 and you still think he is better than sliced bread. And sure you played 1 or 2 harder games than we did. I know you played Florida at home...the same Florida team MINUS PERCY HARVIN that we beat in the swamp 2 years ago.

And dont pretend like back to back cotton bowl champs isnt worth anything because it is. That is why we dominated State in recruiting this year. Recruits notice when a team is on the rise (I know you think State is on the rise but until you have a winning season I cant take you seriously).

The biggest thing he states that I think we can agree on is that Arkansas is not a Big 6 SEC program.

Never.

That's the truth. I think we're also learning that maybe Nutt wasn't such a lazy recruiter at Arkansas. Maybe the job just a tough sell despite all the Walmart and Tyson money that's been poured into the facilities.

Arkansas fans for the most part are still filled with illusions of grandeur based on the days when they competed in the SWC, and their program really was in the top half of the league in program status due to their competition. In the SEC, not so much.

I can safely say that you're dead on about the SWC grandeur take. But they're also realistic about their current situation and know they're not going to sit atop the SECW most years.

I think Petrino's reputation and demeanor are going to serve as his undoing in Arkansas. He might be able to pull in offensive talent with that beady-eyed evil genius thing he conjured up for himself in Louisville against a weak conference, but Arkansas has a different sort of people and a different talent base...one Nutt catered to with his run-heavy offense and his aw-shucks personality. They eat that stuff up. Petrino is going to have a hard time recruiting skill players to go play in Frozen Armpit, Arkansas. I can see him out of there and in an east coast program in 3-4 years.

State finished with 20 of their 26 players from inside the Magnolia state environs. No recruits were from states that didn't border Mississippi.

Last time I checked the domination occurring was MSU taking you to the woodshed on the actual field..... you know when it actually counts.
