Also, Cowherd just put his name on the line. He stated that we will be surprised by the new coach and he knows who its. He stated that he is a big boy coach and gave the hint "stab" and would explain that after the announcement. He said UF was offering him this morning and he would tell his audience as soon as he could. Also said this new coach has not been mentioned but just on some message boards... definitely not Dan huh!

Stoops. Perfect timing for Stoops. They looked at him before Meyer. The Big XII isn't what it used to be after this year. The Big XII may end up dissolving in the next couple of years due to dilution of the schools.

What better time for Stoops to make a move.

Although he has been at Oklohoma for ten years and it may be time for him to move on. Stoops does have a beach house about an hour from Gainsville so who knows.

and I live a full 6 hours away from the school....and yes, I'll make my donation to the BC (have to to get tickets ... but at least a little more that just a token donation) ... now that I see our AD is willing...I'll help any way I can

I'm in Atlanta but will buy the tix and just figure out how to get people in the seats when I can't be there.

after listening to Shane Matthews and doing some quick reading, I'm going to stick with my gut feeling from yesterday that they may offer Dan the job, but it will only be after they have been turned down a few times first. I just don't see more than 1-2 coaches turning them down.

That would push down an improving Florida State program. Florida might be feeling a little threatened that their neighbors to the West are a more legitimate threat now that Bowden is out of the picture...

That would be an awesome soap opera hire - not to mention a quality hire regardless of his history.

....that it will not be spun that way, whether Mullen is offered the job or not. Nobody will give State any credit....the spin will be that neither Florida nor Miami wanted Mullen so he's stuck here another year, but he will get out of here the first chance he gets.

in their minds and I would have to agree that they can get almost anyone they want. Why would they go after Mullen first? Why not ask Stoops, Saban, Kelly or anyone else first. Mullen could very well be the back up guy. Like I said I'm having fun with it.

Cowherd already said that an emailer got it right but missed on the acronym. He said people could guess but he wouldn't say if they were right. He has been reading emails for fun and has laughed at everyone of them except, Stoops to accept bid. He goes on to say, maybe it is maybe it isn't but his is building a new house in OK and it would take alot of money to get him. Why didn't he elaborate on any of the other coach guesses? Sometimes when you have info you just got to tell somebody especially when you know you aren't suppose to.
