until he shows me otherwise. The hire was not that exciting (if at all). The hire was not ground breaking. The hiring came as a surprise to me, but it's done and over now. We HAVE to get behind Rick Ray if he is going to have any chance of building a team. Give the guy a chance to prove himself to the fan base and do NOT set him up for failure. Some of you fockers have no clue what the fan base means to the construction of a basketball program. And it will be a work in progress for a few years.

I am not going to act like some of the Ole Miss folks did with Freeze and pretend to be jacked up over the hire but for better or worse Ray is our coach now and I support him 100%. If he can convince Hood to stay and keep half the recruiting class then he will be off to a good start.

Well, at least we now know without a shadow of doubt that Rick Ray will either be here longer or shorter than 4 years.

Research the guy. He is pretty impressive

Purdue went 9-19 before hiring Rick Ray after won 103 games, had a top-5 recruiting class in 2010, won like 25 games with 5 freshman in 2010

Hugh Freeze accomplishments doesn't hold a jock-strap to what Rick Ray has done the last 4 years in the ACC and Big10 ...not quite the Sun Belt of College football.
