As much as he was under qualified to be our Special Teams coach, Reed Stringer has turned out to be a damn good recruiter. Maybe he could become some random position coach and stick around for recruiting purposes.

...there's no telling how much improvement he could make under someone who knows what he's doing.

I have a feeling that we will retain a few more coaches this year and in year 2 there will be a few more changes.

Talked to someone who knows Stringer. Stringer told him Croom asked him to be special teams coach. Stringer's reponse was "I didn't know anything about special teams and I never played special teams, but for $120,000.00 per year, I'll do it". Like you said, he's a good recruiter.

I'm sure he has worked on others as well, but I know for certain he has continued to work on MSU's behalf over the past two weeks, particularly with Russell.

I mean, that is what he played in college at Delta State right? Probably seemed too logical for Croom and wasn't the right way.
