I was all set to give Ash all the time he needed, but when I looked at how bad Mehringer was. I started to second guess
how can anyone be so bad to hire Mehringer. Well it looks like I got my answer, I hope not, but maybe.
The only thing a I can say is that all you had to do was look at how RU ran up and down the field against Arkansas, when CA was the DC, to realize that he was not a good coach. Plum saw this and most did not.

The Flood thing I give you less credit for, because many here recognized Flood as some type of desperation hire after Cristobal turned RU down and Pernetti wanted to save the recruiting class.
And the same way you bumped this thread and are now rubbing peoples' noses in it, that could have been done with you Flood is a dud post when Flood started 7-0. Heck, even after the WTF loss to Kent State, he knocked of a Cincinnati team that ended the season 10-3 (yeah, he lost to Pitt and Louisville and that dreadful Va Tech bowl game, but 9-4 was not a bad start for a "dud"--and don't want to hear about it was all Greg's players. )
That's the one aspect of this that I will criticize you on this. Even a broken clock is "right" twice a day. So what. Coaching selection is an inexact science, and at best a 50/50 proposition, except at RU, where it is wrong most of the time.

First, Flood was only here 4 years. But at what point do you draw the line. Hypothetically, what if Flood stayed, and he was kicking Ash (oops, ***) today and had the team 5-1? Yeah, not likely to have happened. Sometimes people are right, and sometimes they are wrong.
