I've used it before for general internet use and e-mail. Never streaming. Seemed like a strong enough connection though.

Yes

have y'all ever streamed a live event on a flight?
Yes, I "streamed" the most recent Liberty Bowl and was treated to the most wonderful stop-motion animation I've ever seen. Seriously though, the bandwidth for those planes are going to be very limited. Most carriers will likely block most streaming sites such as Netflix and so on. Not sure is ESPN would be included.

I will be in the air during the UAB game. WAs hoping to watch it live. If not, I will just listen.

Give it a shot but don't go in expecting much. They also disable wifi at certain points during the flight so I didn't get to see the final qtr since we began our descent. Some carriers offer free Dish Network I believe, so perhaps you could find the game there.

I've tried to stream to on Delta and Southwest with very little luck. It would do good for about 5 minutes and then crash.

I know I answered you in the other thread already, but wanted to go into more detail here.

I streamed a Thursday night NFL game on a Southwest flight once. Southwest provides streaming of some channels at no additional fee. Anyways, it worked very well.

Just thought I should add that flight was no where near full. Maybe 20 people on it, and I might have been the only one streaming any content. Had the flight been full of folks streaming, it might not have worked.

SW offers free live Dish on most flights. But it's only about 10 channels.

I streamed the Ole Miss game on my flight back from Calgary last week.

It buffered quite often but it worked well enough.

I've tried many times with MLBtv and espn3. Never works for more than a couple minutes. Audio on MLB app and Hailstate app have worked fine.

Just got back from a 14 hour flight Wednesday on Delta. If you're flying Delta on the larger planes they have TV screens in seat backs. I watched ESPN the whole flight. Never tried to stream using wifi though.
