My Bose headphones have crapped out on me after about 6 years of use. I'm tempted to go out and buy another pair, since they really were great headphones, but I was wondering if anyone had compared them to anything else. I was specifically wondering about Bluetooth, like the Jaybirds. Anyone tried those?

I don't need noise cancelling - I just want a good set for working out, etc. What say ye? Should I make the jump to bluetooth?

I have a pair of the LG Bluetooth ones that I use five days a week that I love. With the nature of my work, I'm by myself and moving around pretty much all day. So I always have some kind of radio streaming and hate having any kind of cord hanging off of me. The sound quality, range, and battery life are all great. You could pretty much use the things two full days streaming music on a charge. The range is good enough to put your phone on a charger across the room and stream seamlessly. Sound quality is as good as you could possibly expect from in-ear headphones. Price is like $65, I think. I have had mine over a year and they are still like new and I am ROUGH on equipment. They are one of the better investments I have made in recent years. There are a lot of things for cords to get caught on at my job and I was tearing up a $20 pair of wired earbuds every month or two. 10/10.

I give up. I can't link on mobile. LG Tone. Shop around. Don't pay $100.

Thanks. My father-in-law has those. Not sure I am crazy about the little collar that sits on your neck. But the price is definitely great.

I am a bit of an audiophile, I am afraid I've been spoiled by the sound of my bose earbuds. Been using the stock apple ones for the last couple weeks and there is no comparison.

The Jaybirds are $140, and that is a lot, but I paid over $100 for my bose at the time. I generally splurge on music/technology. Like I said, the Bose lasted me 6 years, so I consider that to have been a pretty good investment. I am definitely intrigued by losing the wires though - I just don't want to sacrifice the sound quality.

I have Jaybirds. They are great for biking because of their reliability and sweat proofness. IMO, they are too heavy to be used for doing any other activity other than biking. They aren't the best sounding in-ear headphones I've used either. I'm not saying they are bad though.

As for "the best", that's like asking "what the best shoe". Everyone's ear is a little different and everyone likes their audio to sound a little different. Personally, I prioritize noise cancellation more than bass or accuracy. I just bought these Sony's and like them. They aren't as good as my QC15's, but what is...

I have a pair of the Jaybirds that I use for running and yard work. Great sound and not having the cord is a big plus.

I've always found Bose speakers and headphones to be extremely muddy compared to other speakers in the same price range. I've been using MEElectronics A151 for the last couple of years for in-ears, and I like them a lot. The price has also been cut in about half since I bought them. They are light on bass, but the separation is very good and the sound is pretty balanced.

I've never ventured into wireless headphones, but I would be interested in decent sounding ones.

I feel ya on the sound quality thing. I guess I remain part of the uninitiated, because I have always felt you were pretty limited in what you could get out of a pair of earbud style headphones. And I'm not about to strap on a pair of Beats or something like that for a whole host of reasons. I went with the somewhat cheaper ones initially because of my tendency to destroy anything electronic that I use daily.

LG bluethooth

For the price, they are well worth the $$$$. The guys at the Ford plant in Claycomo, Mo. ALL use them. Very clear, good price, great phone clarity, and easy to pair to any bluetooth device.
