On the road against Wisconsin and then followed up by on the road against Michigan.

The odds of winning those two games was known before the season started and that was before the arrests and injuries.

The final three games will decide if we go to a bowl game or not.

Their defenses are the worry, their offenses have been mediocre at best. I could see them stop us from scoring a lot but I don't know how much they themselves can score. I could see anything from a 13-17 pt game but not a 40pt drubbing like OSU. Maybe we score in the mid teens and they score in the mid 20s to mid 30s. Stave may be out for Wisconsin too, don't know how the back up looked. Get some turnovers going our way it could be closer.

Let's see how OSU does the rest of the way. I think we were their coming out party and will be scoring at will against a lot of the teams they play.
I think we will look a lot better even if we lose.

We are going to beat Nebraska.

(The fools out there had no idea how good they had it. Pelini came in cleaned up Callahan's mess and rebuilt the roster. He closed the gap between OSU and Mich State Callahan created and was rolling on the recruiting front. I can't wait to listen to the talking heads: "Nebraska just lost to Rutgers. How much time until Riley is fired?")

Add Nebraska.
Out of the 3 it's the most winnable and it's also at home. They've looked streaky on offense. Sometimes just humming and other times just out of sorts. Their defense hasn't been that great either.

They've lost 5 games by 13 pts and right at the end, so certainly snake bitten.

That's the spirit [eyeroll]

I'm more interested when Rutgers is going to have their coming out party in the Big Ten. Hope I'm still alive.

As long as our APR stays where it is-I don't know whether that stat is frozen past a certain time each year-we can go with only 5 wins.80 teams are needed for bowls this year.Currently, there is no way that all 80 will have 6 wins.Jerry Palm predicts that only 72 will meet the standard, leaving a spot for 8 5-7 teams.

Does 5-7 and going to a bowl make Rutgers good??? Who cares if they go to a bowl. It's no longer a sign of success. It's just enables those that believe in mediocrity to defend a coach that is getting the job done?

They'll both score about 27-30 points on us because our D CAN NOT stop any offense with a pulse. Add to it:

Scoring D - Mich (1) Wiscy (2)
Total D - Mich (1) Wiscy (8)

...and we're talking 30-7 type games each week UNLESS we make some drastic changes and/or they play down to our level.

Nebraska? "snake-bitten" is putting it nicely. IIRC they've lost 4 times on the final drive AND twice via the "hail mary."

Maryland? Please look at what their O did to PSU and OSU's defense.

This is why RU should hire him.
