Maryland has been getting much better money then us for years and significantly more now and have a huge sponser. Do you really think HCRE buyout will stop them from making a change? Do you think their next coach will be 1.5-2.5 mil a year or does UA insist they make a 4 mil splash?
They have a huge advantage in the near future over us. The only mistake they can make is to keep HCRE.

By the way this season is going, I have a feeling the game between us
and Maryland won't mean much. At this point I would hold off on making
fun of other teams. We don't know to what depth Laviano and company will
bring us to.

FYI they were mad about the 37-0 drubbing we gave them in Baltimore.

Anyways Edsall will be gone this year before the season ends. So we'll get first shot at a new coach before you.

Tino Ellis and Dwayne Haskins who can see Edsall is leaving said "They are comitted to the school, not the coach" DMV2UMD movement.

Ohh and none of them are taking officials. I like your imaginative mind.

Well, this is what we should have expected joining the B1G. If we were still playing Cuse, Pitt, USF, UConn, etc we'd be going to a bowl game this year. Shame is, half that group left leaving us in the AACc

Everyone discusses the money that Maryland is receiving from Under Armour. That is not the complete story, however. Kevin Plank has also been successful in convincing other high net worth donors to contribute to Maryland. Maryland is doing a very good job of leveraging the donations and commitment of Plank/Under Armour into substantial additional contributions. Now there will always be a question whether money will be spent wisely, but there is little doubt that financially Maryland is ahead of us, and likely will be substantially ahead of us within the next several years.

Planck is the main guy though. Most schools only have one or a couple of billionaires, who might not even be interested in sports. MD has one who is VERY interested in sports and who's gaining wealth at a clip of hundreds of millions a year. He can and likely will have a Phil Knight level impact on MD, putting us that much further behind the eight ball.

I really doubt it. We are #90 in Sagarain and those teams have beaten up on their patsies while we lost to one

We are going to College Park for Parents' Weekend and my wife surprised me with,

(wait for it)


tickets to Md/UMich! Which actually looked like a good game when she bought them in July. Just two days ago BTN bailed on the live pregame show there due to Joaquin and my wife said to me last night: "We're not really going to go to the game if it's raining, right?" Told her to find her winter parka.

Just for this weekend: Go Twerps!

I understand why they're moving it, but it must suck to be pumped for an 8:00 kickoff only to move it to noon. (How many people won't be able to make it anymore?)

Uninformed, huh? Let's take the temperature of my initial post. I said Haskins is taking at at least one official and guess what - it happened this past weekend. Haskins and Florida had been flirting for quite a while and the prevailing thought was that if anyone was going to flip Haskins it would be UF. Well, Florida just landed its second QB recruit for this cycle, likely shutting out Haskins. So does that mean he's done? Nope, Haskins is now looking to set up a second OV, this time to LSU where his cousin plays. So I said that Haskins was taking at least one OV and I said he might decide to go south. I was right on both counts.

As far as Ellis and Jones, I stand by my original statement, they are both 50/50. Both have options with Ellis possibly looking at WVU and VT, and PSU being the dark horse if they miss on Tre Nixon. I don't know as much on Jones but he's certainly drawing national attention and if Locksley departs that's probably it between Jones and UMD. I'm glad you like my imaginative mind but in this case it is simply reality. You said none are taking officials, Haskins already took one and is lining up a second, and Jones & Ellis will likely both take at least one as well.

Yea Maryland beats Rutgers he ignores that. I say Randy is gone before season ends, he ignores that. Tino doesn't go on a visit.

Haskins is still committed to Maryland, took a visit to FLA, and has ruled them out.

Yet he comes to talk trash, I didn't even say a word about Rutgers losing to Maryland, but LOL at you guys for losing to us. God we were awful this year, both schools need to do better and PSU needs to lose.
