At this point, there is zero doubt that the SEC deserves 9 host sites.

I think USM & GA Tech are out. USM will go to Oxford regional.
We will see how much pull on the committee Jeremy McClain has, for sure.

It would be very USM to have someone on the committee and not even be able to use it to benefit them.

Not my call but the SEC won't get that many. I'd bet TN is out. This is a committee, it's not going to be a fair deal. Just putting in G5 hosts is laughable really .
Well at this point, Alabama has the weakest resume of the 9. I think if any SEC team gets screwed, its them. But its still a stronger resume overall than TCU, UCLA, DBU, USM, FSU, Irvine, and Georgia Tech. And honestly its fairly comparable to Oregon State and Coastal Carolina as well. Clemson, UNC, and Oregon are the only non-SEC teams that have resumes that you could say are better.

In a true merit-based system, I just don’t see how you can logically choose the 3 better ones above, then choose both of the comparable resumes, then also choose THREE teams with clearly worse resumes over Alabama. The committee will do what they do, but do a side-by-side resume comparison and its really easy to see what SHOULD happen.

If anyone has the historical list of SEC teams with 41 wins, Top 14 RPI, 15 Quad 1 wins, and winning conference record that have not been selected to host a regional, I’d love to see it.

Ole Miss has stolen somebody's Host. And I would surprised if they don't end up in Omaha. Their pitching is white-hot! And if they get to Omaha, they just might win the damn thing!

meanwhile, after 2023's debacle, we hung on to Lemonis. They hung in with Shorty and he has delivered for them. Hate him or love him, he turned their sinking tugboat into a cruise ship!
Ole Miss has all the pieces to win their 2nd CWS. I don't think they will, but feel Arkansas may finally get their first.
