he is going to fail miserably.
They recruit in the top 10 every year so they have quality players. They quit on Chizik last year so any new coach will get a better effort. Malzahn will have the offense night and day better. I think you are grossly underestimating Auburn
He has also put together a pretty good staff. I think he'll have them turned around quickly if they don't have any NCAA troubles.
Miles has to be higher. He may be seen as a bafoon by some but he has the rings and wins to back up a higher ranking.
A agree that Freeze and Mullen should be tied. Freeze did a lot more with less last year and that is hard to do in the SEC. They were a few plays away from winning a couple more games if I remember correctly. Plus you have to consider his crootin class this year. That is part of the job description.
My take is that the basically everyone with less than two years of SEC experience automatically got put below #8. I think Miles is about where he should be. I would not want Miles as MSU's HC.
Freeze inherited a solid roster aside from runningback.
I know that's been the party line on here, but I don't think that's entirely true. They return Matthews next year and he'll slide over to LT and his younger brother is going to be very good at center. I think they'll lose some on D with that DE leaving.
They're a top 10 team and a legit national title contender. THey get Bama at home next year, fairly early I believe, the winner of that game will likely be in the driver's seat for the SEC title and a trip to the NC game.
They lost their entire front 7 from a defense that was 9th in total d in the SEC.
There offense will take a step back. Watch and see.
No, they don't. Who told you that?
