What were you expecting exactly?
It was our 3rd home game in 14 days, against a bad team, in mid afternoon in September. And we have yet another home game next week. A much bigger one.

Also that pic was clearly taken in the second half when we were up by double digits and our fans had been in the sun for 2 hours already.
Half of those empty seats will be orange next week. Go ahead and envision that.

Our attendance has not been great for years. Coming off 2-10, I am pretty sure we had our worst season ticket sales numbers since the Croom era (not counting the COVID year) This game was never going to be one with high demand either.
We have one sellout since 2018 and it was due to a huge amount of UGA fans coming to town in 2022. Attendance is not our strong suit right now, but this is not a new thing.
I’m sure there will be lots of visible orange in the crowd next week too. But hopefully our fans show up more than they would have had we been struggling this first month.
One big positive has been student attendance. Yeah they left early both of last two weeks but it was packed for ASU and Alcorn and pretty good student crowd today too. I’m sure it will be packed next week.
So you’re admitting we have an attendance problem? That’s the first step. Been saying this for years but was told it’s not just us, it’s everyone. Which is verifiably false. Our fanbase is lazy
that picture is taken with 10:51 left in the 3rd. I was expecting more than 30k in the stadium. The program deserves better - Lebby is putting a winning product on the field. It’s 7 weekends a year. Come on
The stadium was much fuller the first half!
We do more with less people nearby than anyone else in the country. Tennessee and LSU, for example, are located in the middle of metro areas larger than anything in our state. The vast majority of those in attendance have to drive more than an hour. Yet, we still draw ok given that context.
That’s another issue.. why are fans leaving during a 4 point game?

You are pissing and moaning about the crowd for a game that never had a prayer of being a good crowd given the circumstances.
It’s pretty clearly going to take some time to get the crowds back to Mullen era levels, I’d suggest getting used to some things with it. We’ve seen it play out with football before and with other sports too.
I wasn’t expecting a great crowd. I just wasn’t expecting half the stadium to be empty at halftime of a 4 point game. That’s embarrassing

How sad are you that Lebby is 4-0 this year? I bet you’ve been having an awful time this season.
What did you expect? ASU was fun but for several years our offense was boring as heck to watch, even when we won. It’s going to take while to bring folks back.
I will say when I left mid 4th, one of the gate workers, a lady in her mid 50s or so was doing her best to make eye contact and give a fist bump to all exiting and say, " we gonna need you next week.", when I said we'd be back, she said, you need to pack the car... I told her I planned to.
Like I told my son, I like that a lot. It feels good to be back(relatively back.... Mississippi State style), you don't get that on the way out if you are 0-4 or 1-3.

My seat neighbor's wife has to work every other weekend and he has two kids who don't care a lick about football, and he had been to three straight games, is he pathetic?
Nobody is pathetic. It’s game three of four straight home games against a non conference team we were 24 point favorites to.

Do you also enjoy going to your favorite restaurant, and then yelling at everyone around you who only orders appetizers / drinks before going to meet friends in another part of town….because they aren’t willing to stay and order the steak?
Nobody, not even the owner of the restaurant or the servers, wants that guy above in their restaurant….at all….no matter how much he likes the food, or how well he tips.
Simply put, you’d get your asś kicked with the quickness in real life by saying all the bullshít you spew here to actual folks leaving the stadium or who couldn’t make the game. And deservedly so. So shut the 17 up already.

it’s pathetic for us to be an SEC team and only have 30k at the game, because we are the only school currently struggling with attendance while being 4-0 for the first time since 2018. None of our first 3 games were impressive attendance wise. Arizona State was #12 in the country, with absolutely perfect weather and we had at least 10k empty seats, with people leaving at halftime. It’s a problem we’ve had for awhile.
Please don’t bring up the single mom of two working late excuses or “I live 6 hours away!” That’s not who we are relying to show up for games.

But seriously…it’s a big stadium, even when half full. The math says it’s not all that likely I’d even get a chance to say something to you. If I didn’t just happen to be within 3 feet of you at the time of one of your rants, the ambulance would already be well on its way from the 15+ other mother17ers that were already done tapdancing on your face.

We need more hotels, cheaper Airbnb rates, and the boys in blue to not set up road blocks in every county on Saturday night. Then we will have better attendance for Northern Illinois games.
